Hi all a quick one I think I am 5 and a half weeks as I have been counting. I did a digital test last week just to check as i love doing them lol and it says 2-3 though ? I'm so confused with it all! Haven't even seen my GP yet as they couldn't get me in until the 6th of March (what a pain) but still how does that all work? Confused.com

Any help would be great
Thanks

The 2-3 is weeks since conception, so 5 weeks pregnant (from date of your last period) is correct.

@custardcream1988 that is so confusing to me so it is correct as 5 weeks 4 days we think?

The 'weeks' indicator on the Clearblue tests tells you how many weeks it has been since conception.

The measure of how pregnant you are is calculated since the first day of your last period.

There are about 2 weeks between the first day of your last period and the time you ovulated (and conceived).

Therefore, the Clearblue is about right. Remember it is just a guide though. Many people become obsessed with re-testing to see the weeks indicator go from 1-2, 2-3 and the. 3+. I never got a 3+ and have two healthy children.

Also, have you read the instructions with the test? They probably explain it better than I have.

@custardcream1988 Hi custard cream many thanks for all your help it is really helping us. My problem is I didn't have any periods for around 6 years, (maybe the odd one or two but only spotting) Because I had the implant. However I has this implant removed on the 16th of January this year as my partner and I want a baby. The doctor said I would be fertile as soon as the implant was removed. So by the looks of it I had it removed and ovulated pretty quick. Seemingly like it would of been when my last period was. What do you think? Thanks Lauren

Ah okay.

Well, I can't really tell you any more than the test really. You ovulated about 2-3 weeks ago and conceived then. The only way you'll be able to get an accurate due date, because you haven't had a period since coming off be implant, is at your scan. They'll be able to tell you exactly how many weeks/days you are. You could even have an early scan, from about 7 weeks, if you are desperate to know, but you'll need to pay for it.

Good luck with everything Smile

@custardcream1988 I will stick with 5 weeks 4 days for now and will have to wait for my scan xx
