Hi. This conception thing, am I/aren’t I pregnant is driving me up the wall.
Here’s my tail of woe...

Have been trying to conceive 10 months. Last period started about 22nd Jan. Think I ovulated 7th/8th Feb. We had sex 4th/5th/6th Feb. On the 13th I had a tiny bit of spotting. Never spotted before. Blood always means period for me. But very, very light and pink rather then red. Few days after i got cramps. They’ve been pretty non stop since. Yesterday morning, first wee with a first response, nothing. Didn’t test this morning but still no period and still cramps.

Could spotting have been implantion? What’s the longest people have taken to show up as positive on a test? Am I being an idiot and realise its not worked this month??
😪

Do a test?

SqidgeBum · 24/02/2018 13:54

The spotting could have been implantation, but if you did a test yesterday and it was negative, then tomorrow morning would be the next best time to test. Is you AF late? How long is your normal cycle? I was in the same boat as you last month with bleeding and cramping 6 days after ovulation, and it turned out my body was playing tricks on me. My AF came at CD32.

Noopey · 24/02/2018 15:55

Was due to start AF beginning on this week. Cycles are normally between 28-30 days. I’m on day 33 now. 🤷‍♀️
Will test again in a day or two. I know I need to just be patient but it so hard.

Oh if I were you I would be POAS. I was late last month and I was genuinely bonkers waiting to find out one way or another. I was living for mornings so I could test. Its so hard. Have you any other symptoms?

Alyosha · 24/02/2018 16:58

Definitely POAS. Many women don't have enough HCG in their urine to get a positive test until 1 week after their period is/was due, let alone several days before their period is due.

Your symptoms sound similar to mine, heavy cramps, very light bleeding...Best of luck! I didn't get a positive until 19 dpo!

Noopey · 24/02/2018 16:59

What’s POAS?

Pee On All Sticks, so keep testing. Can be said for testing for ovulation too.

Noopey · 24/02/2018 17:07

Thank you! 🤞
Feel like I’m going insane.

Hi, I'm in a very sumilar situation. I'm very regular with 23 day cycles. Last AF was 29 Jan. So I am now 3 days late which I have never been. However, I tested yesterday and this morning with First Response test (which say 99% accurate 6 days before AF is due), and BFN. Todays test was with FMU. My symptoms are; dizziness, bloating, cramps, fatigue, and things taste a slightly different i feel a little bit sick but IBS means thats a bit of a constant for me anyways. Boobs are only the slightest bit sore so not a lot to report on that front. I'd be really grateful if anyone can shed any light on what's gping on as I'm driving myself a bit mad.

Sorry for the long post. TIA.

Alyosha · 24/02/2018 23:28

Hi Kitcat, all you can do is wait I'm afraid...it is still possible to be pregnant. If you think about it, at 99% accuracy, ~700,000 pregnancies each year = 7000 women who won't test positive when FRER say they will! And that's probably underestimating it.

All you can do is leave it 2, preferably 3, days and test again - or see if AF arrives in that time.

Hope you get the news you want!

kitcatdog · 25/02/2018 00:04

Thank you. It's so confusing as I've never been this late before. I think I'm going to wait out until I'm 7 days late and retest then. I have a docs appt for something else at 8 days late, (assuming AF doesn't show), so maybe she might be able to shed some light onto things.

kitcatdog · 25/02/2018 13:10

Hi, AF just showed up. At this point I'm just really pleased to know either way. Not sure what happened as I'm usually very regular but at least niw I know it can happen if it happens again.

Noopey · 28/02/2018 19:23

I did a test on 26th and today. First wee of the day both times. Both were negative. Still no period. That’s 9 dats late? Cramping for almost 3 weeks now. 😒

@Noopey I'm in a very similar situation! Got my last AF on 25th jan. Positive OPK on CD14 and 15. DTD on these days and for 3 days after.
No AF since and bfns! I'm now cd35

Noopey · 28/02/2018 20:04

Isnt it just so frustrating Gossip?? If I’m not pregnant I just want to get on with my period, and get on with having another try. But if I am why is my body not letting know I’m pregnant 😖

100% agree with everything you say! I just want regular cycles so I know where I'm at!

thisisouryrfx18 · 01/03/2018 17:43

Did yous test again i need to know lol

Noopey · 04/03/2018 21:18

Period started on 1st March. My wedding anniversary. I cried. Can’t believe we started ttc almost a year ago.

OP posts:
Merrz · 04/03/2018 21:31

Noopey I'm really feeling for you. Same boat here, on 9th of March will be 1 year since I took my last pill and no sign of a bfp. Plus my cycles were bang on regular 30 days until last cycle, period was 6 days late and had strange spotting so convinced myself I was pregnant even though was getting bfn on tests but no. Was hoping it was a one off long cycle but now on CD 32 of this cycle so no idea what's going on! Feeling really fed up Sad

Noopey · 04/03/2018 21:59

It just sucks. Really sucks. And it’s energy draining. And it feeling like I thought of nothing else for a year. Will be thinking of you Merrz (and all the rest of you trying) we will get there eventually xx

OP posts:
Merrz · 05/03/2018 08:11

That's how i feel like the entire last your has been completely consumed with ttc and still no bfp. Have you been to see Dr yet?

thisisouryrfx18 · 05/03/2018 13:25

Sorry ladies x its hard to not get bogged down with it all

17358anotherplanet · 05/03/2018 15:49

Sorry about your challenges @noopey. In a similar situation here. Trying for 1 year now. Was pregnant in October, miscarried in November, was pregnant again in January and miscarried again in February. No idea when AF will come. The last real one I had was in Oct last year! In the meantime, having become very aware of how my body feels when it is pregnant and when it is not pregnant, I am starting to get some pregnancy signs. We were planning to take a break - I could do with being myself for a few months rather than addicted to home pregnancy testing. Let’s see! Fingers crossed for us all 🌼
