Anyone ovulate late in their cycle?

I've posted about my periods and ovulation a lot so I'm sorry in advance, but does anyone else ovulate late in their cycle? This is day 27 in My cycle and looks like an LH surge on ov. test. My last cycle was 51 days so I'm not sure how long this one will be.

I got a positive reading on my ovulation test but I guess this doesn't necessarily mean I'm ovulating. However if I am in confused why it happens this late. Is this an issue for anyone else?

In the last two and a half years, I have naturally ovulated anytime between cd 14-24.

Generally the time between ovulation and af is the same (mine is 13-15 days).

Late ovulation can be caused by a variety of things: just coming off hormonal contraception, ovarian reserve, pcos, testosterone, prolactin.... the list is much longer.

If you've been ttc for a year or more see your gp for blood tests.

Just because you ovulate late does NOT mean you can't get pregnant, just that you have fewer chances of catching the egg...

My last cycle I ovulated on day 26 I had a MC at 5/6 weeks but proved my body could get pregnant. I'm currently on day 31 and just got my positive opk even though I said I was giving up this month. Guessing my MC pushed ovulation back slightly. Ovulation day/longer cycles don't matter at all it's the luteal phase which matters x

Thanks you two you've been really helpful. I've actually been referred to a gynecologist for an ultrasound so fingers crossed everything is ok (or ovaries crossed) :) :)
