Hi @Mama87. Didn't wanna read and run.

Firstly just take a minute. It could all be fine. Could be implantation bleed. Could just be a light break through bleed. Call the drs or epu (depending on if you need a referral or not)

If it's really light, and no pain... could be nothing. But defo go get it checked out.

A lot of people have spotting and it's fine. But sometimes it's not, so defo Worth getting it checked. Also pee on another stick to see if it's still positive.

Good luck babe. Fingers crossed it's just little bean snuggling in. Xx

Hi there,

I went through exactly this with my first pregnancy. In fact, I had several little bleeds until I was about 20 weeks and my DC is now an energetic 3 year old. It does send you into an absolute panic, so I can fully appreciate how you’re feeling.
I agree with OP about seeing your GP. I wasn’t under a midwife when I had my first bleed (it was very early) and my GP referred me to the EPU. I hope it all works out for you xxx

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 12:53

Do you have an idea how pregnant you were? Normally wouldn’t be implantation bleeding as that happens prior to a test. That being said I bled a little and generally as a rule you shouldn’t worry unless it’s heavy or coupled with pain Flowers

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 12:54

Sorry how pregnant you ARE until you find out different x

Mama87 · 23/02/2018 12:57

Im 4-5 weeks i have no cramping but my blood is now bright red

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 13:00

Mama87 · 23/02/2018 13:05

It gradually getting more but no pain im so heartbroken

Call your doctor and they can refer you to the epu.
I had bleeding early on and has to wait till they should be able to see something on a scan. Everything was fine. I even had another much heavier bleed a few days after the scan so went back. I'm feeding my 5month old now and they never knew why I had the bleeding.
Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean that you are having a miscarriage but always get it checked. I really hope everything goes ok for you.

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 13:18

My dr said if it happened to me to go straight to a&e and wait there as quicker than a referral. I have heard positive stories are blood loss in early pregnancy so there is always hope. I wil be thinking of you.

RLOU88 · 24/02/2018 12:17

Mama87, just wanted to drop in to say I have been wishing you well. I hope you are okay Flowers

Starryskiesinthesky · 24/02/2018 12:26

A lot of A&E depts cant / wont do much so I'm not sure that I would go rushing down there without checking first. EPU is your best bet but some need a GP referral. Hope things turn out well for you.

RLOU88 · 24/02/2018 12:29

My advice was from my DR in central London so I am sure advice may differ depending on location. Getting appointments at the DR for referral etc is like gold dust.

Anyway, whatever you did yesterday OP, I hope you at least have some answers and are taking care of yourself x

LampShadeHeid · 24/02/2018 12:33

I didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks. In the three weeks prior to that (so 4-7weeks) I was having what I thought was a weird period. Lighter than usual, lasting longer than my usual period. I had bright red blood, and was maybe filling a third of my mooncup everyday. When I eventually took a test I was surprised to see I was pregnant but also very apprehensive as I thought the bleeding I had been having just mean it wasn’t going to be a successful pregnancy. I continued to have spotting through the next month and had a healthy fetus appear on the scan. I’m now 18 weeks and everything is still going well.

Bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean miscarriage and it’s well worth getting it checked out so you know either way.

Starryskiesinthesky · 24/02/2018 12:35

Sorry RLou I wasn't meaning to be rude about your advice just that where I am they just send you away. It obv varies a lot!

Almostthere15 · 24/02/2018 12:38

I hope it settled down over night.

I've had this three times now. The first two were more brown but the last bleed (at about 8 weeks) was bright red and although it didn't soak a pad there was lots. Once you've been to the epu here you can self refer but you do need a doctor to refer you first (my GP did it).

I finally worked out it was related to constipation and straining. My cervix just reacts that way.

I'm currently 16 weeks and things seem well. So I don't want to give you false hope, but it's not always bad news (but should always be checked). Rest up if you can.

I've had some early losses so I know how awful you're feeling even at the thought of it and I'm hoping things work out for you.

Hi ladies sprry for the late reply. I have been bleeding no stop since friday morning with some cramping. My boobs are no longer sore like they were and yesterday i pass a rather large clot. Does not look good but going to doctors tomorrow. I am heartbroken and feel so empty, i dont know how to get past this and have simply cried since friday. I would do anything for rhis to end happily and find out everything is ok, i just want my baby back and no else understands :(

Oh Mama87, how terrible for you x do you have support ? I understand your pain I have suffered two miscarriages and am now 5 1/2 months pregnant and things are looking well. How long had you been trying? I know it’s hard, and we won’t forget our little beans, but there is no reason you can’t try again x look after yourself and we are here if you need to talk Flowers

Lorddenning1 · 25/02/2018 10:43

Sending you hug xoxo

SoozC · 25/02/2018 10:56

Sorry to hear what you're going through Flowers. I had a mc last year, with bad cramping as well as blood. A cousin of mine had bleeding but no cramps and her baby was fine. Please ring the out of hours doc to try and get an EPC appointment for a scan.

MiniMinions · 25/02/2018 10:59

Sending hugs and hope you have got some support xx

Almostthere15 · 25/02/2018 11:16

I'm so sorry to hear that. Take some time to grieve and heal. It important that you're seen either way. Here the epu can't take referrals at the weekend, you could go to a and e but it's not really a nice place to be when you're unstandably upset. So Id try and see my GP tomorrow in your position and they should be able to refer.

I hope you have some support, please be kind to yourself. I understand what you're going through, I've been there and it's horrible.
