@Cakelaur totally what I would have done!! 🤣 so do you think you ovulated the day that you got that pos opk? I'm a bit worried now as I'm relying on opks this month to do SMEP. When you got your positive opk at night did you make sure you hadn't peed for a certain amount of time or just do it?

Star88 · 01/03/2018 08:18

Thank you for all your messages!!

Tried to upload a photo but it's saying no images variable for some reason.

@dulwichdays my mc was 30th Jan for a few days. So I've had no Af in between...

Trying to just keep calm. X

dulwichdays · 01/03/2018 08:31

@Star88 congratulations such lovely news. And great to hear that someone made use of the fertility Cape!

I’m just coming to the end of my first AF post MC - mixed feelings about whether we’re likely to catch in the next few cycles!

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/03/2018 09:26

Congratulations @star88 that is incredible news! Congratulations!

Hello @Maxiflump1 so sorry for your loss. Silly question but how are you doing?

@RDM10 welcome and sorry you're here. It's good you are thinking about the future though. I had a M/C on 3rd Feb and we started trying to conceive when the bleeding and pain stopped. I was only 6 weeks and my hormone levels were very low and the scan didn't show anything so for me it only took a couple of week to feel back to 'normal'. I checked with the miscarriage association and they told me there was no medical reason you can't start trying before your first period, they just say that to make calculating the due date easier. It might be worth contacting them about your situation too as they are very kind and happy to give advice.

PassTheAfterEights · 01/03/2018 09:56

Congratulations @Star88 delighted for you!

Oh @maxiflump1 hi and so sorry to see you here. and for what you've been through, horrible news. Hope you are getting lots of support irl? So hard when it's not generally common knowledge in first trimester. Remember it happened once and quickly - that's got to be a good sign. Really hope that post loss fertility surge happens for you when you get TTC again xx

PassTheAfterEights · 01/03/2018 09:57

@rdm10 welcome and sorry too for your loss. Echo what @PumpkinPatch000 said re trying again, we had the same advice from miscarriage association and local EPU. We weren't lucky in Feb but hoping for March now I've had normal AF. Good luck to you x

Kingy2910 · 01/03/2018 10:04

Congrats @star88 that's cracking news ....

@rdm10 sorry you are here. I had mmc around the same time as you. I didn't have any procedures done as I passed it around 9th Feb. I had a scan to confirm everything had gone and once the bleeding had stopped we could try again. I must add we went for it that next week lol but I don't think we've been caught but then again I don't even know when af is due or if I ovulated this month. If I go by previous months I think I would be due or even slightly late now but I did a test Saturday and it was negative but it could be because I tested way to early. Thinking might do one this weekend

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/03/2018 10:12

Good luck for March @PassTheAfterEights I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

I’ve been doing ovulation tests.. for two peaks around a week apart which is a bit confusing. I know they say to stop testing after the first but I wanted to see what was happening post MC

Claire138 · 01/03/2018 10:23

@boboelephant let me know how your acupuncture goes tonight. The earliest appointment I could get is next Tuesday! Should be a couple of days before I ovulate so hopefully it will be good timing!

@dulwichdays I’m feeling similar. I started of positive but this will be my third cycle since mmc. I chose to not try first cycle so it’s only second month trying but I’m feeling a bit down in the dumps about how long it will take us again.

Sorry to the new ladies that have joined! Hope you guys are blessed with the fertility cape!

Cakelaur · 01/03/2018 10:23

@Boboelephant so with opks I do the clear blue fertility monitor in the morning. And I pee on ic opks morning, afternoon and night. Crazy I know!! But I don't hold pee or anything. Just when I need to pee I pee on one of them. The two week wait is boring. I don't get to pee on anything! 🤣 but I think I ovulated after my evening opk but before my peak this month cos that's when my temp spiked. Plus I had ewcm the day before. PLUS the CBFM registers peak peak high every month irrelevant or what's actually happening. (It's the advanced on with the monitor screen) so I tend to trust temp and ic opks more than that at the mo.

@rdm10 you can try as soon as you feel ready. The one month wait is only for dating. I didn't catch for first cycle but 🤞 I'll catch the second! I was so desperate the first month and DEVASTATED that we didn't catch. Now I've had af I feel so much better emotionally. I think hormones have levelled out again.

@PumpkinPatch000 i did the same. First cycle after mc I ovulated really late. This second cycle I ovulated really early. But I stopped testing now as I've had a temp shift to confirm. Do you also do bbt?

Star88 · 01/03/2018 10:28

@Claire138 @dulwichdays I wasn't expecting to catch. But we just thought might as well keep trying. I've got my fx for you both xxx

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/03/2018 10:32

@Cakelaur nope never done bbt just relied on the clear blue digital tests. First month I used those I fell pregnant. AF is so irregular I never know whats going on!

Boboelephant · 01/03/2018 11:06

@Claire138 I'll let you know. I'm hoping this is the perfect time to go as I feel like I'm due to ovulate soon. Often I don't until cd20 but I'm hoping it will be earlier this month and I hope one of her needles will do the trick! I know how you feel. 3rd cycle post MC for me too, 2nd one trying. I feel like I have all my hopes set for this month and will be so devastated if it doesn't happen.
@Cakelaur thanks! That's really helpful! I had a darker line this morning but not quite positive yet. I had EWCM yesterday and having acupuncture tonight so will opk when I get home and hope for my positive!!! 🤞🤞

dulwichdays · 01/03/2018 11:31

Thanks @Star88 - we didnt not try but we didn’t monitor anything. Ive just bought some clear blue ovulation sticks (my first time ever checking OPK) and figured I’d just monitor for my first cycle post MC to get an idea of when I ovulate (early/late!)

Claire138 · 01/03/2018 11:46

Thanks @star88 hope you have a happy and uneventful pregnancy!

@boboelephant yes let me know. Sounds like good timing! Fingers crossed!!

Angela1981 · 01/03/2018 12:46

@boboelephant thank you for your response you made me feel a lot better cause everything I read about men who drink multiple drinks every night that they can have abnormal sperm an be the cause of the woman miscarrying I hope this was just a one time thing an I have a healthy baby in the near future cause this is horrible :(

Boboelephant · 01/03/2018 13:30

@Angela1981 yeah it's such a crap situation. I hope you have a healthy sticky bubs soon. I'm no medical expert but I just don't think it can be that cut and dry. So many different types of people sadly miscarry and so many of them then go on to have healthy babies so if there was abnormal sperm from drinking surely that wouldn't be possible? That said I am trying for us both to be a bit healthier. Two nights alcohol free per week and both on vitamins! 🤞

Cookiefiend · 01/03/2018 14:07

@Star88 congratulations! Amazing news.

@Boboelephant ooh- let us know how the acupuncture goes. It is not something I have ever really fancied, but I have heard good things.

Primrose16 · 01/03/2018 14:24

I’m in the TWW too @cakelaur cd20 here! I will not symptom spot!!!!!!!

Eastend2015 · 01/03/2018 15:22

Angela unfortunately nothing is simple with the causes of miscarriage. The stress that you are putting yourself under worrying out this is probably more counter productive than the drinking in the first place. To put it in perspective, DH can go through 2-3 bottles of wine a night. We have a healthy 20 month old DS. Before him I had an EP and a MMC, then two MCs since. He has 2 nights not drinking a week, lots of exercise, sleep, fresh fruit and veg and loads of water and conception vitamins.

Angela1981 · 01/03/2018 15:28

@boboelephant thanks an that’s awesome! That your DH is trying to stop or cut down drinking even if it’s not the cause of a MC it’s still good for him and you I hope I end up having a healthy baby as well I just want my 2nd child an I’ll be happy. I see a Dr. today I’ll have a bunch of questions :)

Cakelaur · 01/03/2018 15:37

@Primrose16 come on TWW. How many dpo do you think you are? I'm cd14. But 3dpo, ovulated mega early this month!! 😁

Primrose16 · 01/03/2018 15:49

@cakelaur I honestly do not know. No tracking. If ewcm is a good indicator I had that on 23rd/24th.

Hi ladies,

Sorry if this is TMI but has anyone else experienced a lot of watery 'discharge'? aka basically just water down there. Today I feel like i've sprung a leak and never noticed it before! Seems weird x

Llondbol · 01/03/2018 15:54

@PumpkinPatch000 same happened to me in the 10 days leading up to my BFP in December. Still no sign of AF and I've had that too this week so I've got everything crossed 🤞🏼 Where are you in your cycle - could you be pregnant? X
