@Llondbol i've heard that about cycles too but i've also read that people have a period as little as 3 weeks after MC so like everything it's very individual. Our MC was also our first pregnancy so I completely understand where you are coming from with being hopeful each month.

Thank you @dulwichdays we will just have to see what happens.

Cakelaur · 03/03/2018 20:42

Ladies it seems that quite a few people who had mc's it was their first pregnancy. It was for us too. Is it usually first pregnancy or just totally random

Kingy2910 · 03/03/2018 20:57

Hi @cakeluer no we have had a first pregnancy and all was well we have a beautiful 2. 5year old girl. This was a second pregnancy and all that has happened was a complete surprise and shock to the system.

We are going to ttc no matter what is thrown at us but having a mmc has also made us even more grateful for what we have.

I send love hugs n baby dust to you all xx

Boboelephant · 03/03/2018 22:04

Thanks @PumpkinPatch000 xx fingers crossed for you and @Llondbol 🤞

@Cakelaur I think it's totally random. I also have a 2.5 year old. Super easy pregnancy and he's perfect. Then I fell pregnant as soon as we started trying again but it was ectopic and then next one which took 9 months of trying was a MMC. I agree with @Kingy2910. It was a complete shock to the system!

Funkyemzie · 03/03/2018 22:08

Yes, this was my second pregnancy with a 10 year gap. It's been hard to hide all this from DD really, she has been so desperate for a sibling.

I'm still awaiting the bleeding to stop, day 16 for me, I just want it to be over now so we can start ttc again. Question though: If I had a negative pregnancy test result then why would I still be bleeding? Had negative tests now for 2 days, do you think this could be a period?

Primrose16 · 03/03/2018 22:21

Totally random @cakelaur. I had a mc, mmc then a healthy pregnancy followed by another mc.

I have friends that have all healthy pregnancies and other friends that have had losses between children.

This is my first post on here. I recently had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, my first pregnancy. I was so happy to be pregnant but am now trying to come to terms with it having ended and my main feeling at the moment is complete and utter disinterest in anything - work, friends, life in general. I feel like hibernating and am worried it won't shift. Am sure it will, and I'm sure this is part of the process. I thought it might help to write something, as I spend so much time reading all these posts - they really help me.

Kingy2910 · 04/03/2018 06:06

Sorry you are here @babynameedie I too mc at 8 weeks. I thought I was ok mentally rather than physically. I had three weeks away from work (totally unusual month Feb has been this year. I didn't see too many people but that's because they was at work too. I returned to the office on Tuesday and realised I just did not want to be there. I was only in 2.5 hours before nursery rang and I had to pick my dd up ill. I was sooo thankful to be home. I haven't been in since but am due back Tuesday feel ready for it but will see how it goes then.

You're not alone people deal with it in all different ways but writing on here certainly does help x

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 15:03

@BabynameEdie welcome and so sorry for your loss. People do deal with loss in very different ways and what I find is that it hits us women in a totally different way to the men (even when they are brilliant) so I find this outlet so helpful as all the ladies here understand how completely crap and hard and all consuming it can be! Quite alot of us are also having some form of therapy or counselling which could be something to consider to have a space to process it all. I find it super helpful!
@Kingy2910 good luck for returning to work Tuesday.
I had ovulation signs yesterday and today my opk has only one line so officially in the 2ww again. 🤞🤞🤞

Kingy2910 · 04/03/2018 16:52

I caved and bought a digital ovulation test kit yesterday. Got nothing when I tested yesterday but a big smiley face this morning so I'm on it!!!!

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 16:57

Haha told DH that I should eat some pineapple after ovulation so he came home with this. World's biggest pineapple! 🤣

@Kingy2910 good luck!!

Funkyemzie · 04/03/2018 17:11

Aww @boboelephant thats so sweet of him!

This last week I have been feeling exactly like that, not bothered about all my friends offers to go out, don't even want to think about work. I'm going back to docs tomorrow for my review, it's over 3 weeks since MC and still bleeding so having my bloods taken, not sure what they're for.

clairehr · 04/03/2018 18:50

Hi all!

New to the thread. Two MC last year and now ready to try again, so thought I'd come and join you lovelies here to help keep me sane as the nerves are setting in!

I've been off the pill for 3 months, charting using OPKs and BBT and have an idea-ish of when we need to up our game in the baby dance department. Hoping for this month to be the sticker :)

HidCat · 04/03/2018 19:50

@clairehr hope it's a straightforward ride for you from here on out.

DaisyMay25 · 04/03/2018 20:00

@Boboelephant I haven't heard of this but I ate a full pineapple about three days ago (I swear I could eat about three a day) I'm 5dpo now, just had some brown spotting, stupidly optimistically thinking it's implantation bleeding and not another messed up period, af isn't due for another six days

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 20:32

Oh @DaisyMay25 I hope it is for you!!! 🤞🤞 Yeah I haven't tried it before but apparently pineapple contains bromelain which is a blood thinner. I read that this encourages blood flow to the uterus which helps build the uterine lining for implantation. They say you should eat some every day for the days between ovulation and af/bfp. So hey- it's all worth a shot!!

DaisyMay25 · 04/03/2018 20:37

@Boboelephant how interesting, I swear I learn something new everyday about conceiving! That pineapple looked huge though, enjoy it. I think I read something about eating the core but I supposed the entire thing can't hurt!

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 20:44

@DaisyMay25 haha yeah it's massive. Sure I won't be eating it all but bless him for buying it. Yeah the core contains the most bromelain so they say just make sure you don't core it when you slice it.
I feel like I learn new things constantly too!

Kingy2910 · 04/03/2018 21:05

I've just looked into this eating pineapple thing as I was sure you wasn't meant to eat it whilst pregnant......any way my findings are.. eat it during ovulation as yes it thins the blood and helps the little suckers stick. I personally don't like pineapple but might try and force some down 🤔🤔🤔

On a lighter note I have something to share with you that makes me laugh every time I think of it. So we all know different terms for having sex... dtd (doing the deed) bd (bed dancing apparently) and doing the dance with no pants.....well my hubby has just asked me if I want some "baby batter " I am still peeing my pants its the funniest thing I've ever heard. I said I'll have some later thanks 😂😂😂

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 21:41

Hahaha @Kingy2910 that's hilarious!!! 😂😂 also cracking up here over that! 👍
And yes basically they say eat the pineapple during your luteal phase. Not before ovulation and not once pregnant. It's a small window!

Cakelaur · 05/03/2018 10:09

Anyone in the tww with me? I'm 7dpo. Temps are erratic it seems. Massive drop at 4dpo and 7dpo. 4 more days til I Test!!! Maybe 3 if I'm weak!!! 🙈

Boboelephant · 05/03/2018 10:20

I am @Cakelaur! Only 2dpo here but already starting my obsessive hoping! My boobs have been so sore since yesterday and whilst I know that you don't get symptoms one freaking day after ovulation (eye rolling at myself!) they don't usually hurt so I'm fantasizing anyway!

Kingy2910 · 05/03/2018 10:23

Aaawww fingers crossed for you ladies.......here's a question...when do you know which date is passed ovulation???? Do you use ovulation kits and once the smiley is gone start from there????

DaisyMay25 · 05/03/2018 10:24

@Cakelaur 6dpo for me! I'm very optimistic this month due to spotting yesterday. Said I wouldn't test until Saturday but think I will before Blush
