Does anyone get cold/flu like symptoms before AF?

Exactly as it says on the tin!

Please tell me that I'm not the only one that this happens to? Every month when it gets to about 9dpo I literally feel ill - sore throat, headache, ear - the whole shebang.

What could be causing this?

Yes! I've always had this. I've been told that for some ppl the hormone changes can sort of 'crash' your immune system. No idea whether that's true but my gynaecologist thought that was the cause.

Yes!! I’ve noticed this for the last six months or so, a couple of days before AF arrived I feel like I’m coming down with something as well as bone-crushing tiredness. Off to the doc’s tomorrow to see if there’s anything I can take to make it better.

@Metalhead. Yes! The tiredness is overwhelming! I have snoozed on and off all day. I don't know if it's related but I had a day 21 blood test last week and it gave me a result of 17, now either it was at the wrong time or maybe I have a progesterone insufficency. I have an abdominal ultrasound next Friday so we will see what that brings.

Yes i get this some months as well! Something else to add to the ever confusing not falling pregnant list Lol!

@Owlpatrol. Oh no Owl! Not you too! It's weird because before my mc last year I never experienced it.

Looking the GP has put me on the combined pill (obviously no good for anyone ttc!). Another option would be antidepressants, or on a more general level vit B6 and exercise.
