Is ovulation timed from the start or end of the LH surge?

I got a positive OPK the day before yesterday. Tested again this morning and still getting a strong positive OPK. Does his mean I probably haven't ovulated yet? I've read ovulation happens 24-36 hours after a positive OPK does anyone know if this is timed from the start, peak or end of the surge?
