12DPO BFN a week before AF

Hi all, I’m 12DPO (been using OPKs) and I am a week before AF is due and just got aBFN. Do you all reckon I’m probably out?

I reckon your af isn't due in a week or you didn't ovulate when you think you did.

A 19 day luteal phase is would be the longest on record. Is that usual for you?

Are your cycles regular? Why do you think you're 12 dpo??

You're not out until af shows her ugly face!

Hi thanks so much for your reply. I think I’m 12DPO because I counted from the day after I had a positive ovulation test so I’m either 12 or 13 days dpo (providing I did ovulate). I got a static smily on a clear blue so I know it was defo positive. My periods have been all over the place since I had my ectopic surgery but they are still within the normal range of 21-35 day cycles. Perhaps I will be due on my period earlier than the OVIA app has predicted. If I was pregnant it would be showing up by now right? Thanks guys x

14 days is very normal. So expect your af to arrive 15 dpo which then resets to cd 1, iyswim.

You aren't out until af shows!

Did you put your opk results into Ovia? That can make it more accurate at predicting your fertile week. If you are 12dpo then AF would normally be due in the next 2-3 days.

In answer to your question it depends what kind of test you took. A FRER or other early response test will often (but not always) show a BFP at 12dpo but a standard test is much less likely to.

Thank you both for your replies, yes I put all my results into Ovia

I have been testing with one step and a cheap version of a FRER. Both are whiter than white!

When I got my static smily I noticed that the test lines wasn’t as dark as the base line - but it was the day after with an internet cheaply opk - do you think the clear blue was right or could it has been slightly wrong and I ovulated a day or too later?

Also my boobs have been super sore but now they aren’t - that’s a sign AF is on her way right?

Hi I'm on 15dpo wiv a BFN, but untill af shows I'm not giving up hope so id say ur not out yet. With my previous pregnancies i've only ever tested positive after af was about 4 or 5 days late which would be early next wk. I'll keep everything crossed for us both x

Luteal phase should be 12 to 16 days.

Plus the drop in progesterone is what prompts af. Progesterone makes your boobs hurt so the fact they have stopped probably means AF is coming within the next day or so. Sorry!
