Light bleed, day 10 of cycle, does anyone know how long until ovulation?

I very rarely have this but today I've had a very light bleed, cd10. Bloody typical though, ttc for over a year now and the one good sign I have and partner is away until the weekend, grrr! I think this is a sign of high fertility so would really like to try and use this good sign but have 5 more days until partner is back, do I have any chance?! Is there anything I can do to delay ovulation?? Very stupid question but worth a try!

I had a very light spotting three days after I think I ov'd. Maybe you ov'd early and hopefully you did everything at the right time.

goingfor3, no, if that's the case I've missed the boat altogether!! Bled until day 7, child then ill resulting in being in our bed and then partner went away so nothing short of a miracle could help this month!! It's a wonder anyone ever bloody gets pregnant with life getting in the way!

Janus, is bleeding mid cycle a sign of hyper fertility? I had the same thing this month on CD11 which was very unusual for me and I was wondering if we could still TTC this month. Had assumed not thought and was a bit disappointed as had been intending to go for it.

Hi Gangle, I've just read 'take charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler (think that's it!) and remember her saying it was an 'additional' sign of ovulation. Just ploughed through it again last night to try and get more info and actually think it can be a sign the egg has been released from the ovary. In which case it's started its journey and needs fertilising! Very hard for me as partner is in Cambodia!! But if you can get hold of your partner asap it may work but have a feeling the egg only survives for about 24 hours so get going! Looks like another month is blown for me, buggerations!

Gangle - I had it for the first time ever this month. It was my fifth month of trying and I got a bfp!

I think I had it about three days post ov but I can't be sure as it means I got a bfp just a week after ov'ing.

how much blood did you have? I was bleeding for about 2.5 or 3 days so was more like a mini period but only had the last period 11 days ago so would be way way too soon. Also would have been very early of ovulation as today is day 14. Will have a go this month but also think I've missed out. Balls!!

I had about three or four drops of blood, probably wouldn't have noticed if I was wearing white pants!

I really hope you haven't missed your chance. Maybe your period when on ofr a bit longer than usual.

I too only had a tiny amount, again I was wearing white pants so really noticed it but may not have else. Right, my new strategy is to wear nothing but white pants next month !
