Thread five!

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

Gah cariad I hate it, I hate it all!

My boobs are a bit sore today, could my body not just let me off for one damn month? I made it all the way to CD28 and thought I had got away with it but for some reason my body thinks I deserve at least a day of boob soreness. Ffs.

Just come back from my accupuncture session and feeling a little bit more positive. AF has cleared up now so we are set to get back to DTD.. should start with my opks again tomorrow.

Trying not to think about the fact that the private ivf clinic thinks we should do ivf and focusing more on weight loss and health.

Spent the last day sorting out my stuff at home.. I have too much stuff that I don't need.. having a good old clear out helps keep my mind off things too.

Well, it's done, and I think intact, which is relatively good news. Hopefully they will tell me it's complete and I'm back on the ttc wagon. Again. What a grisly horrid morning, but I think I need to shut the door on it until the scan next week. I feel better than I thought I would, although there were a lot of tears this morning. Going to try to go back to my usual chirpy (hahahaha) self.

Sorry af got so many of you again. February is shit anyway. March is where it's at.

Thanks Sooz. I've said it before but I fucking love this thread. It's been such an awful fortnight, but having somewhere to vent, not be mindful of delicate sensibilities or discretion, and the support of women who bloody know how it is is what MN is so good for and I'm grateful.

DD was conceived in March, it’s definitely a good month. Not too pregnant over high summer, finishing work before harsh winter sets in. Having an excuse to hibernate over winter with a newborn. Definitely marvellous March for us all!

And I just worked out that if I conceived in March my EDD would be the same date as DD’s was!
