Cramping before bfp?

This is my 2nd month ttc #2. AF due around 11/12th Feb. Tested today at 8dpo (stupid and of course bfn) today i have been getting cramps, back pain and twinges.
However last month (1st month ttc since coming off the pill) i had the exact same symptoms at around 8dpo, cramps, back pain etc and was more or less convinced i had caught first month trying.....then af showed up 7 days later!!
Im now starting to wonder if its going to be the same senario this month. Anyone get cramps before bfp? Or even get cramps around this point letting them know they are out?

I'm exactly the same although this is month 1 of ttc. Af is due on the 12th. I've had cramps and pale pink cm since yesterday. I never get that between periods.

I'm doing a fr tomorrow! If it's a bfn then I'll wait for af. It's so stressful. This will be no 3 after a big gap.

Glad someone is in the same boat. Your symptoms are sounding good.
I would be a lot more optimistic if i hadnt had the same symptoms last month then af arrived.

I tested with an ic today but please let me know the results of your fr tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you

Im gona try and hold off testing now till either thurs or fri..... who am i kidding!

I've done 5 ic! I got a very faint line on one but it was after 12 hours! I don't think it will be positive. I'll let you know...

I was going to wait until Thursday! Fr are making a fortune out of us.

I am due on the 12th too. 7dpo today, had a little bit of blood streaked CM so got hopeful - but now I have AF style cramps so feeling like it will be here soon. This is my 9 cycle trying!

It would be a big help if preggo signs and af signs were not more or less the same!

It's torture isn't it! Luckily (or unluckily) I have one FRER in the house so going to save it until Friday or Sat if AF stays away.

I swear it gets harder each month!

2 days before I got my bfp I had awful cramps, so much so that I said to DH, I'm definitely not pregnant this month but on the plus side we have a free pass down the pub for a couple of weeks. That was a Friday night and by Sunday there was no AF and I got my bfp whilst suffering from quite some hangover! I'd done a frer at 11dpo and it was negative too. Sadly the symptoms are the same, I know that now!

Omg!! I nearly didn't bother but look at that bfp!!! I'm not due until the 12th. I'm in shock !!!

Omg!!! @somersetsoul congratulations. Thats a strong strong positive...are you sure you did ovulate early! Lol. How many dpo are you?

Thank you! I should be 9dpo! Twins run in dp family... not sure if that would create more hcg. I'll be buying more tests today just to make sure.

You might not be. I didnt get any bfps on those. Only a faint one but that was way over the development time x

hope l can hop along and find out if the cramps come before a bfp. cycle 29 for me but I never get tired of symptom spotting. have experienced the worst of cramps Fri, Sat, Sun (9,10 &11dpo) and nothing since. l am about 13dpo today and waiting to see if the witch will show.

Congrats on the BFP Somerset! I'm due on 14th and have been getting cramps since the pos opk. I usually don't but get immense cramps during ovulation time. Hoping it's a good sign but tbh I think I'm just looking for symptoms and perhaps get every month. Signs for me based on my last DC was big boobs, tiredness and cramping BUT I've cut out caffeine and with a DC who likes waking at 6:30am I'm bound to be extra tired and the boobs get bigger before AF anyway. So..... could be something or nothing! Really having to restrain myself to not poas!

I didn't bother testing until I was three days late with my first pregnancy as I had my usual pre menstrual cramps. They lasted a week or two into the pregnancy which was quite unnerving but all went well and baby is now 14 months. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant with number two and have had the same thing, usual pre-menstrual cramps but strong BFP the day af was due and still getting them a bit this week. Hope it all works out for you!

Amatree I had the same. The month I was pregnant with my DC I thought cramps meant my period was on it's way so genuinely thought it wasn't a sign. They continued for the first few weeks of finding out also. So cramps appear to be a sign for me. That said every pregnancy is different. Gah! I am being strong with myself atm and telling myself a test wouldn't show anything atm anyway so I am being uncharacteristically strong with myself (series poas addict last time here!).

Hi, I had my implant out, 3 weeks later had a tiny 'period' for about two days, 4 weeks later had almighty cramping. That went on for days (was bent over a trolley in Tesco because they were so bad). Took a test and it was negative so assumed it would be my first proper period since having an implant for 10 years. Negative test on the Saturday and positive by the Thursday. Good luck x

Thanks all! Still in shock. Just did an Asda cheapy and there's a line on that! I got bfns on ic...

Looking - I might have ovulated early, I only go by my period app instead of testing.

@somerset are you still getting bfns on ic even with such a strong positive on frer?? :O thats crazy its not even a hint of a line....also gives me more hope coz i just did another ic...bfn! Lol. Why do we do it?
So had you not been temping or using opks then just your app?

I haven't got any left! I did the last one Sunday night and it was negative. No temp or anything, just the app. The Asda cheapy was bfp and that says you can test 4 days before af, I'm 6 days before!

Also i went to asda tonight after work to get 'bread' ie buy a preggo test on the fly and they had none.....literally NONE! The shelf was empty except one box of cb digis at nearly 14 quid and i wasnt buying them lol so came home empty handed.....
Defo a sign in my eyes that i should stop testing so early...
So i will go to tesco tomorrow morning instead and get some

Lookingforadvice I am the same as you! Due on 12th and currently 8DPO...Ive tested twice on FRER so far and, yep, negative! Congrats though Somerset what an amazing surprise! I'm 100% sure I am 8DPO though as I temp and do OPK so really hoping I get a second line in a few days!
