Hello everyone,
My next cycle will be the first that me and my partner are ttc. I have gone slightly mad buying fertility products and have ended up with the old style fertility monitor as well as the advanced fertility monitor from clearblue. I'm just looking for opinions before I decide which one to use. What are your experiences with both? Do you have any tips etc. Thanks for helping ladies.

I had a clear blue fertility monitor, the advanced one. I became pregnant with dd on the 2nd month.

When we decided we wanted another I used the monitor straight off and it worked 1st time.

I have the advanced dual hormone one, which you insert sticks into.

I have mixed feelings about it - basically when it picks up your estrogen level rising you get “high” and it will continue to show high until it detects your lh surge, when it switches to “peak”. Well mine never changed to peak so had high for 19 days in a row (!!!!) and it made me really worried I wasn’t ovulating, but then got my bfp that month! This was my first cycle using the monitor and cycle 15 overall.

Now ttc number 2 and have used it this month - failed to switch to peak again so just a waiting game now...

To be honest I wouldn't even bother with fertility ovulation tests, you've only been trying for a month, people get so het up and obsessed over these, me and dh tried for over 3 years and after 2 years of trying I brought ovulation sticks as soon as it said positive I was like come on dh in the bedroom and it completely took the fun out of it for both of us!! Then that month I'd get my period when I really thought I'd be pregnant because we dtd when I ovulated!! As soon as i stopped fussing and relaxed I finally got pregnant!! Hope this helps xx

I have pcos, Proudmummy17 and it is hard for me to know when I ovulate or even how long my cycles will be. We tried previously for over a year with no success and gave up actively trying. Thats why I want to try everything possible now! X
