Opinions on feint bfp, right for dates?

Would appreciate your opinion on my feint bfp please...

I got a bfp a few days ago but it isn't getting darker. It was for the first two days then it has plateaued. My period was due 1st Feb.

Is this line too feint for where I should be? Also, I am at a higher risk for ectopic and I wondered if it could be a sign of that (although I have no other symptoms).

I had definitely concluded it was a failing pregnancy yesterday but my boobs still feel sore and I would have expected the line to fade to nothing by now.

What do you guys think?

I think this is a better pic of how the line looks.

I'm sorry but I would expect the line to be darker that that if you are 5 days late. Is there a chance you could have ovulated late this month and not be as far along as you think? In my case, my lines were darker than this at this stage but plateaued like yours have and I sadly lost my pregnancy a few days later. I hope this is not the case for you. I think all you can do at this stage is keep testing or maybe see if your GP will do the quantative blood tests (mine refused). Good luck x

I just don't k ow about judging the viability of a pregnancy on how dark a line is. I stressed myself out hugely for the first few weeks because my line wasn't very dark then I had an early scan and discovered I was having twins. My hormones should've been really high but the lines weren't as dark as I'd like. The pregnancy went fine and I had the babies at 36 weeks.
Pregnancy sadly do end in miscarriage sometimes but I don't think agonising over how dark a pregnancy test is is any help.

As JJPP said, it’s not as simple as that I don’t think! Loads of things affect how dark the line is - the batch of tests, how diluted your wee is, time of day...

As you are at risk of ectopic it’s probably worth seeing your Dr and asking for a blood test? I’d be shocked if they wouldn’t give you one if you are at risk!

5 days late, it doesn't matter what time of day you test and how diluted your urine is. You should be expecting a darker line, unless it's possible you're earlier than you think.

Thanks for all your opinions... it's so hard to know really. I so want it to work out but I suppose I think it is more likely on it's way out. Really interesting to hear your experience JJPP that must have been a massive shock, but a lovely one!

I got a once in a lifetime appointment at the doctors this morning(!) and he said I would be having more pains if it was ectopic. He did offer blood tests but I have decided to just watch and wait. I am trying to relax which I am failing at.
