Positive home test, negative blood test

I'm really confused. I found out today my blood test was negative, but I got a positive first response test. Do you think the first response test was a bad test?? When I first took it, it was a very faint positive pink line. I kept it, and I looked at it again today and it's an even darker pink line? Picture is attached and I just took it. It is definitely pink, so I know it's not an evap line.

Defo pregnant. Do you want Hobbs? Xx

That definitely looks positive, but is very faint. How many dpo are you? It could either be very early days or a chemical? I got a positive 3 days before my period was due with a frer and it was a lot darker than that within about a minute. Sorry to sound so negative...

Definitely looks like a faint positive on the FRER so the most likely explanation is a chemical pregnancy, sorry.

Most likely explanation is - dodgy test.

@cateydeanna if your blood test was prior to the frer, is it possible that you just didn’t have enough hgc in your system for the blood test but now enough to show on an hpt?
It could also be a chemical pregnancy, where you get a positive as you start to implant and baby develops but it doesn’t get too far for whatever reason and you loose the pregnancy. This normally happens and then you’re period comes. Take another test in the morning with fmu. Good luck. Fingers crossed it is your bfp. Xx
