I had 3 miscarriages over the last few years so was very despondent. Miscarried in July 2017 and we TTC straight after. We downloaded the app ‘glow’ and chartered when I was ovulating to ensure I was at home to DTD as I travel a lot with work. I think some people strategically DTD when ovulating eg every other day but neither of us could handle that kind of abstinence so we just had sex as much as we wanted.

I conceived in late Dec/early Jan of this year which was a little bit of a shock but I’m so so happy. Just want to make sure I have a healthy pregnancy. We always joked after having sex to do the bicycle with your legs and so one day he grabbed by legs and lifted me up so that the sperm would travel. It bloody well worked!

I hope you both have luck soon in conceiving x

I'm happy to share my story. We had a very long road to conceiving our DD who is now 3 including one failed round of ivf before I fell pregnant naturally. When DD was 18 months we decided to start trying again and I amazingly fell pregnant 2nd month of trying. I couldn't believe it after the years of heartache. Sadly that pregnancy ended in a MMC at 10 weeks. I fell pregnant again 3 months later but at my 12 week scan it was found that my baby (a little girl) was very ill. We made the heartbreaking decision to end the pregnancy and I delivered her at 16 weeks in October 2016.

10 months later we had come to accept it might not happen naturally for us so we went for some tests. We also wanted to reassure ourselves that the condition we lost our little girl to wasn't hereditary. We started the tests and it was found that my progesterone was low and that I have v Factor Leiden. Incredibly after one month on the progesterone suppositories I fell pregnant again and am now 20 weeks. I'm on clexane, aspirin and high dose folic acid and also stayed on the progesterone for the first 12 weeks. I've had numerous scans and amazing care this time because of what we went through last year but touch wood all seems ok far.

So as someone whose journey has been a difficult one I sympathise with anyone going through the same. Hoping 2018 is your year x
