As the title says. Do they actually work better than cheap ones. Can they really tell earlier?

I actually used the Internet cheapies first before testing with a frer (so that I wasn't spending loads on tests). Got my positive on the cheap one 9dpo then a clear positive on the FRER 10dpo. Always feels more concrete with a FRER though.

I'll tell you tomorrow when I get my bloods back from the drs. I've done 7 frers and they've all got a suspected pink evap line whereas my ic are all coming out negative. I'm cd 41 and getting pregnancy symptoms and no sign of af

Rtmhwales · 01/02/2018 06:51

I got a positive on one five days before period was due. Very clearly positive. But my HCG levels ended up being very high so I suspect it would’ve shown on any test early.

MonkeyToucher · 01/02/2018 07:18

I got a very clear positive at 3 days before af was due, and internet cheapies (which were also supposedly super sensitive) were negative.

However, this time around I won’t be testing early with a frer or anything else. Knowing i was pregnant early was horrible - I was just even more panicked I’d have a chemical and it was really stressful. I wish I’d waited until af was late because then at least you have a bit more hope of it sticking..... that’s just me though Smile

Hedgehog80 · 01/02/2018 07:41

They worked for us at 11dpo
Went to gp as I’m high risk for ectopic and she did her own test which was negative so she didn’t want to refer to epau. Had to insist and they confirmed pregnancy that day (hcg was just 19) and ds3 was born 3 weeks ago
Frer are very sensitive

Hotpinkangel19 · 01/02/2018 09:25

Best tests around imo

BifsWif · 01/02/2018 09:47

I got a clear but faint line at 10dpo and very strong lines at 11 and 12dpo.

I wouldn’t use any other test personally.

Woodchuck9 · 01/02/2018 14:25

I used FRER and never got a proper positive it was clear blue that did but different product work differently for different people

sazzle3 · 01/02/2018 15:12

@woodchuck which clear blue did u use and were you late?? Xx

Woodchuck9 · 01/02/2018 18:42

@sazzle3 I was 6 days late and I used just the normal clear blue that brought up a faint positive and I brought a digital that came up pregnant I'll link some photos

@woodchuck thanks hun I'm taking first response and they come up negative. I'm 10 days late today having a few signs of pregnancy. But negative first response. I have never been late ever xx

NimbleKnitter · 01/02/2018 19:02

They are far more sensitive than cheap ones from the internet, but I had a positive at 9dpo on FRER and clear blue

Woodchuck9 · 01/02/2018 22:45

Good luck @sazzle3 let us know how u get on

sazzle3 · 01/02/2018 22:56

Will do xx

raraa · 02/02/2018 01:22

Sadly I got this result today from a FRER, it's been the strongest line out of all 8 frers I used, the rest were questionable evaps. Sadly this is an evap too! I'm sticking with the poundshop cheapies!

cateydeanna · 02/02/2018 02:43

raraa Evap lines can be pink?? I had the same thing! I thought they could only be greyish.

BifsWif · 02/02/2018 06:55

Evap lines don’t have colour!

Pob13 · 02/02/2018 08:23

I think that is a positive

OP posts:
TheCaptainsCat · 02/02/2018 09:39

That looks positive. Evap lines are grey because they are just a mark on the test strip, a coloured line means a reaction, and the presence of hCG. Blue dye tests are tricky because light blue and light grey are hard to distinguish between.

GnTplease · 02/02/2018 10:13

My internet cheapie was darker than my FRER at 11dpo...but there was no mistaking it at 14dpo!

Desmondo2016 · 02/02/2018 12:20

@Raraa thats not an evap

raraa · 05/02/2018 13:54

I had bloods done at my doctors and it came back negative. I took the last FRER on the same day my bloods were taken and tested. It's definitely an evap despite me not wanting it to be

gingertom11 · 11/02/2018 08:39

First pic was my FRER at 10dpo, second pic on day AF due (16dpo) - control line much darker than test line! I've found them very good. Xx
