Hi so after tests seems my 21day progesterone levels results are fine but hubbys sperm seems to show low motility but gp has suggested he redo test just to be sure. That’ll be another week or so of waiting plus I’m waiting on my cycle day 4 blood tests for fish/amh too. In terms of potential low motilitY is it still possible to get pregnant? We started pregnacare again last month, I’ve been reading “It starts with and egg” and have started also on ubiquinol 200mg, vitamin d and c in last week as we’ve only been trying 5mths.

I’m thinking once we get results we may see private fertility specialist but wanted to do as much as possible on nhs.

Is DH taking any supplements? Stuff like making sure DH eats healthily/doesn’t smoke/cuts down on alcohol were the first things recommended to Us by Drs.

Not quite the same, but my DH has low morphology. Overall count and motility were good. The specialist we saw basically said the most important factor is overall count and if that is good you are in with a good shot. If they are slow AND there aren’t enough swimmers that’s the biggest issue. But low motility can be helped to some extent by addressing the lifestlye stuff first...

DH doesn’t smoke/ drink and vegetarian though he could do with eating more greens I think. He takes pregnacare with me and also past week ubiquinol, vitamin d and now vitamin c. Will see how next tests go, dr didn’t address quantity so guessing was ok.

Hi,

My DH took proxeed - he didn't have low motility but did have an issue with the tails of the sperm - can't remember the condition....perhaps MAP? And when the clinic monitored his sperm 90% died off within 24 hours. I have no clue if the proxeed helped but we have now conceived so perhaps it did. Might be worth asking the question? Good luck.
