IUD - Personal Stories please?

Hi,

I'm not a Mum, quite simply a daughter wanting some guidance. My own mother does not have / never had an IUD coil fitted so has no experience in the matter.

I just wanted to hear some other peoples experiences of the fitting and post fitting. I recently got mine fitted and struggled to find a thread which was recent so it'd be helpful for other people.

I was just wondering how you found the fitting and how you found the period of time after it fitting?

Do you mean IUD (copper coil) or IUS (mirena coil)? I had the mirena for 5 years. No bleeding apart from 1 period not long after fitting. A few cramps the day of the fitting but fine afterwards
