Brown spotting in luteal phase?

Last month I had brown spotting all the way from 2dpo until my (unusually light) AF which lasted two days.

This cycle I made it to the dizzying heights of 9dpo (yesterday) and then I had some dark red bleeding - not requiring a pad or tampon but there upon wiping every time. Today it's just been scant brown discharge on wiping again.

This does not look like the implantation bleeding pictures I've seen online, and have read that it's never meant to be red?

I'm just confused about what's going on down there so if anyone could shine some light or talk about a similar experience I'd really appreciate it Star

Hey hun didn't want to read and run. I've had ovulation spotting which was slightly different to what you've said. Have you recently come off birth control as could be your cycles settling down? Oddly when I first had implanon out I had exactly what you are describing for about 2 years and then started ttcing xx

Thanks for replying @Owlpatrol - yes I have just come off birth control - do you think it's all to do with my hormones settling down then? There's been times in the past where I'd come off birth control (due to bad side effects) and then my cycles returned to normal immediately so I guess I thought it would be the same this time 😞. Silly me, I'll try be more patient!

Could be....I'd definitely keep tracking for a couple of months to see how things regulate. Yeah it was completely different to me when I came off Yasmin to having the implant out
