Clearblue OPK (dual hormones) - HELP

Started using Clerblue OPK dual hormone this month - using FMU as stated on the box. Getting lots of EWCM but tested BFN yesterday and today....

My cycles are on average 30 days

Currently on CD 14 - The NHS ovulation calendar is telling me my peak fertility should be between CD 14 and 17 so should the OPK have detected a surge by now? Am I out for this month?

So confusing aren't they - all the advice I've read on here says you shouldn't use FMU for OPKs but I thought since I'd spent a small fortune on the expensive Clearblue ones I should follow their instructions.

Haven't started using them for this month yet (used two last month as thought I was gearing up to ovulation when AF arrived two weeks earlier than normal ) so can't offer any advice but hopefully others will have some tips for us both.

They don't make it easy at all Miserablemouse - what's more confusing is when to DTD, we are not really stressing about it too much but I was a bit set back today when I saw a negative OPK, I thought it would have detected a surge!

Also does anyone know if CB actually do work best with FMU? Has anyone got their face testing in the afternoon?

I got my smiley in the afternoon. I always get crap results with fmu

HoneyCake86 that's interesting thanks for replying - I am convinced today I should have got a smiley face... might test again after work, do you think 6pm is a better time?

I think it’s good to use them (I do) but doctors also advise to dtd every other day from finish of your period until period is due so I’m combining both and just dtd every day when I get my positive opk. fx it works this month 😁🤞

I use internet cheapies and only use the CB digitals when I think it's getting close to positive. Also last time I got negative at 8am but blazing positive at 1pm so I focus more on testing afternoons.

My app is telling me I should be ovulating in 2 days - today is CD 14 out of a 30 day cycle..... is this normal? Should I keep testing?

SweetMummy911 sometimes I ovulate a little later than usual. Keep testing 😁

Are you getting a flashing smily or just a blank circle?

I had a 30-day cycle this month and didn't ovulate till day 17 - and I got my first smiley at day 16. So definitely not out. Just keep testing!

Perhaps you ovulated early? I ovulated on day 6 last cycle. You could buy some cheap strip opks from amazon for next month and test as soon as you finish AF xx

What day did you start? I would keep testing, you might just ovulate slightly later in your cycle.

Just tested again this afternoon and def BFN and big blank circle
.... will see what happens tomorrow

Juan wanted to update everyone that I finally got my flashing smiley face today!! We DTD last night and gonna try again tomorrow and the next day. Fingers crossed and baby dust
