Nutrition and meal planning when ttc

Hi! I hope I'm posting in the right forum!

Hub and I are hoping to begin ttc towards the end of this year.

We're not completely unhealthy eaters but aren't amazingly healthy eaters either! We need to make a lifestyle change and I'm looking for a book or good publication that has recipes to help us meal plan.

We both have a couple of lbs to lose but aren't overweight so I'm not looking for a diet book, really just a healthy eating book with the focus on making sure we're getting all the right things we need for growing a healthy baby.

Does anyone have recommendations?

TIA Smile

No specific recommendations, but i would plan plant-based meals with some protein. Lots of different vegetables will be good, including dark green ones for folic acid.

The first trimester can be tough and I found it hard to eat healthily as certain foods made me feel sick (apart from beige/white foods!) so nourishing your body now is a good idea.

Hiya, I’d recommend ‘fertile’ by emma cannon. It has recipes and focuses on nourishing the body to enhance your fertility.

Fab, thanks both. Forgot to say DH has Coeliac disease so evening/together meals need to be gf. Plant based and protein will be good. Emma Cannon's book looks great.
