Raging ovulation symptoms. .or am i peri-menopausal? ?

Hi, has anyone else had or have these symptoms? ... Round about mid cycle i get headaches, very fast pulse rate, nausea, tons of fertile seeming mucus and very very strong urge to dtd with the first available not bad looking bloke i come across!!! Now don't get me wrong. . i'm happily married with a beautiful 4 yr old DS. DH would love to have another but my age is advanced now..i'm 46 next birthday and really scared to go thru it all again at my age. I had DS at 41 after 2 mc's and would be bound to have more mc's if i did by some miracle manage to conceive again. ..So basically this time of the cycle comes around and i sit and cross my legs waiting for it to be over which i realise isn't great for my marriage!! ..BUT DH wants another baby badly and our DS needs a playmate! Should i throw caution to the wind and just go for it and hope it will be ok? Surely i should be peri menopausal by now anyway?!! Any 40 somethings feeling my pain right now??

Are you me? I’m in exactly the same situation. And I mean exactly, 1 DD at 41 after 2 mc. I’m 45 and having the same ovulation symptoms. I did have an (unplanned) chemical pg before Xmas so I know there’d be more mc if we did try again. I’ve been assuming I’m perimenopausal, cycle is still regular and normal though apart from at ov time.

Hi thanks for msg'ing. How bizarre! ! I knew there must be someone else out there like me!! Sorry to hear about your mc..was this the chemical pregnancy? ?. So do you try opk's? I did try some a cycle a while back and got a faint line which had gone by the evening of the same day! I haven't bothered with them again. When i get these ovulation (?) symptoms they last for around a week. So i assume i'm ovulating but am shit scared of more mc's! I just have to think if it doesn't ever happen then we have to consider ourselves lucky i am to have DS ..
