Smear test when ttc

Aptly given all the media attention, I have just received a letter telling me that my smear test is due. My Doctors recommend days 10 - 20 to have it done which will be smack bang in the middle of my FW.

Will it affect TTC? I don't want to not have one.

No it won’t. It’s just a quick swag of the inside of your cervix, it won’t have any impact at all on ttc :)

It's fine. I had a smear test while ovulating and conceived.

Won't affect it. It's recommended to do it then as that's when your cervix is most favourable and you are most likely to get a good sample of cells.

I had one when I must have been singles of days post ov and had fallen pregnant that cycle. It had no impact at all, in the USA a smear at c. 8 weeks pregnant is part of the package of care so I'd say it's safe.

The only impact it did have was I personally wouldn't choose to shag the night before a morning smear as it felt a bit... weird... probably no reason why you shouldn't I just felt the nurse would know
