So on 8dpo i took an internet cheapie and got a positive, not even a squinter it was a clear light pink line, so i took more later on and got more positives. So i had 5 positives that day all from internet cheapies.

Took more internet cheapies 9dpo and all BFN and a frer test this morning with FMU 10dpo and that was negative too

My temps are still up and i have none of my usual AF signs

Anyone know whats going on?? 💖

Hi there im in exact same position got a faint but definate line on first response 8dpo then neagtive ever since... im now 10dpo. Its so hard waiting to take a test but people are right you should probably wait and test at 14dpo. I cant switch off from it. Im not sure what positive then negative means but im hoping its ok ive recently had 2 MCs and really dont want to go through that againSad

I used first response then morrisons own and a cheap one from amazon. The morrisons one i had a very very faint line but the first resonse was darker. AF is due on Sunday. I was using ovulation test strips which showed LH surge on 14th Jan so its possible i could of ovulated later than i thi k as i think it happens 24-36 hours after the surge so possibly later obulation than i thought. Just dying to see those lines get darker after my previous experiences. Have you checked the strength of your pregnancy test kits they might detect different levels of HCG which is why you migbt get positive with one brand and negative with another x

I've had 6-7 bfp on ICs this month and bfn on FRER. I think I had a faulty batch of ICs but if you've had bfp then bfn on FRERs then it could sadly be a chemical pregnancy, or possibly that hcg is still at a low level and natural variation in the urine (such as testing with more dilute urine) has caused the subsequent bfn.

Annoying advice but all you can do is test in a day or so.

Ameliaxx · 24/01/2018 16:36

Thanks for the advice hun. I was worried it might be a chemical 💔 had so many positives with the internet cheapies but only bfn’s on the frer as yet maybe a very faint squinter but thats it. The IC tests were so clear! Xxx

I started a thread yesterday about ICs and false positives as I've several very clear bfps on ICs and bfn on frer. Checked amazon reviews and lots of similar comments. I'm not going to use ICs again as they're so unreliable (and disappointing when hopes are raised!).
Sorry to hear you've had the same experience.

Ameliaxx · 24/01/2018 16:42

Tbh ive probably used hundreds of IC and never even had a glimmer of a line ever it was only two days ago that i had thick pink lines so not sure yet if theyre okay or not ive always found the negatives to be accurate as i havent been pregnant yet

Ah- most likely was a true bfp in your case then. It's so disappointing to have a bfp for it not to work out (I had a chemical in oct). It may be sluggish rising of hcg though so you may not be out just yet.
