False pos on ICs?

Hi all,

Has anyone has a false positive on an internet cheapie (one step) before? I only ask as I stand here totally dumbfounded at a second line that I got at 6pm after weeing all day and drinking all day and with very irregular cycles (45-70 days).

I also don't know if it came up in the time. Was so expecting BFN I just left it and went pottering for a few minutes.

Anyone?! Freaking out a tad here!!

There's is such a thing as an evap but that wouldn't be coloured just kind of grey...have you got a pic of the test you could upload so we can have a look?

That looks exactly like the early positives I got on internet cheapies, also in the evening. I tested the next day with a First Response and the line was clear as day. Congratulations

Ooh congratulations that looks like a positive to me!! Try a first response tomorrow, I got much darker lines on a frer.

I actually can't believe it... in total shock!! Will try on FRER this weekend. So weird that I had got so used to bfn that I was not expecting bfp in the slightest! Thanks all for your replies!! X

Hi girls, fingers crossed for you all. The only thing I would add about these ic's is be very careful if using hpts and opks together as if they touch the opk can turn the hpt faintly positive. This has happened to me. I know it's unusual to do these tests at the same time but I've had a few days of positive opks and was wondering if they were being caused by hcg left over from my miscarriage or a new unexpectedly early pregnancy but nope...a bit of googling and a couple more bfns discovered my mistake! Xx

I was so surprised when it happened to me. Got all excited and then read about this on google and realised what had happened. Try doing another hpt tomorrow morning with fmu on its own and see what the result is. If it's positive you'll get the second line again xx
