Hi all,

Just wanted to ask the ladies who used the mini pill prior to TTC a few questions....

  1. How long it took for your periods to return?
  2. Whether people got pregnant before their periods returned and how long this was after you stopped the pill?
Thank you x

Hi @gossipgirl28
I stopped taking my mini pill (cerelle) mid August and on 5th October I found out I was pregnant.. I’d had no period in between this time, spotting slightly but was probably implantation. Unfortuneatly we Had a
MC 5 weeks later at around 7weeks.
If I could give any advice I’d wait for your first period.. hormone levels sometimes can be a little off balance after coming off the mini pill. All the best x

Thank you for your reply! Sorry to hear about your MC last year. Wish you all the best on your journey.

I just want my AF to return as normal and then I can at least keep track using OPK....but in limbo ATM x

NorthernLurker · 18/01/2018 19:36

I stopped twice and conceived and carried successfully the next cycle.

@gossipgirl
AF will get back to normal in time Smile I use a fertility app called Ovia it’s quite helpful Smile

Hey,

I'm in the same boat as you @gossipgirl28!

Came off (CERELLE) Dec 16.... had a light bleed over Christmas for 2 days and now waiting for my proper AF.... Driving me nuts! Just want to get into the flow of things like you said and be able to work out my cycles... Been feeling really bloated all week and cramping! Keep thinking it's going to happen but still nothing 😩 How long have you been off of yours for?

So sorry to hear about your MC @Hope18... Fingers crossed this is your year! Sending you lots of baby dust 👶🏻🤞🏻

Hope18 · 18/01/2018 20:57

@SunshineAndRainbows6 the wait for AF is a nightmare isn’t it !! Getting Into the flow of things is good tho, mind you each cycle doesn’t get easier waiting... 😩
Especially when AF symptoms are so similar to pregnancy !

KathyBates · 18/01/2018 21:01

I came off my pill in Oct, had my withdrawal bleed and then my first true period 6 weeks later. Am now 8 weeks pregnant :0)

QuilliamCakespeare · 18/01/2018 21:06

About 6 weeks for the period and I conceived the first month we tried (which was the second month of being off the pill)

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 18/01/2018 21:19

Tell me about it @Hope18 ... 😭 it does help to know there's a lot of us out there going through the same situation. We are currently on pause with everything as we have just brought our first home. So we are waiting to move in and then going to start trying as and when my periods return! Sounds like majority of us took 6 weeks to see that... So we shall see!

Congratulations to all who have got the BFP's so exciting 👶🏻

Fingers crossed this will be our year @Hope18 & @gossipgirl28 🤞🏻👏🏻

gossipgirl28 · 18/01/2018 22:00

I stopped my last pill on 10th Dec....it will be week number 6 next week! A few people mention that their periods return at about 6 weeks! Fingers crossed!

I'm TTC 1st and I'm 28 :) just bought a house with my OH so we feel it's a good time to TTC x
