DH and I decided to ttc #2 and dtd unprotected for the first time on the last day of my last cycle. Af arrived as normal the next day and finished on cd5.

On cd6 I had a lot of ewcm and my resting heart rate spiked, which was odd as I generally have 30 day cycles and ov around cd16. However, I have had a few 23-24 day cycles.

On cd14-15 I started having cramps and bloating which I put down to ov, but less ewcm than normal and much less than on cd6.

On cd15 I had a sudden electric shock feeling in my abdomen, which threw me as the only time I've ever had that sensation before was around when dc1 implanted.

I know it's wayyyy to early to be implantation from dtd on cd13 onwards (I'm cd16 today), but I'm now wondering if it's possible that I could have conceived from early ov on cd6 after dtd 6-7 days earlier and having Af in the interim? This would put cd15 as 9dpo and the electric shock feeling could then be implantation?!

I've read that sperm can live for several days, but could they really live 6-7 days and survive af?!

I think it's very unlikely myself but know the only way to find out for sure is to poas in a few days but I'm just really intrigued as to whether it's really even possible?!

No it isn’t possible. Sperm ‘can’ live for up to 5 days but this is in an optimum environment which would mean fertile CM which you wouldn’t have had over your period.

It’s not to say you won’t get pregnant this month but it’s unlikely you’re pregnant now from CD6. The symptoms you’re feeling will be from progesterone rising not from HCG.

Thanks June, I thought it was seriously unlikely, it was just the electric shock feeling that spooked me as I remember that feeling so clearly from conceiving dc1! I guess what caused it this time is likely to remain a mystery!
