Am I having a chemical pregnancy?

So I had a BFP on internet cheapie on Tuesday night. Retested yesterday morning FMU with clear blue early detection and faint line, all looking good. Very very faint line on internet cheapie tho.
Today I’ve retested with FMU and same tests and the line is really faint. Internet cheapies I can’t even see a line on at all.
I’ve got no bleeding, but this all doesn’t look good does it?

Pic is today and yesterday’s clearblue

Am I having a chemical pregnancy?

Anyone experience anything like this with a good outcome?
I’m feeling really upset

It doesn't matter how clear or faint the line is. If there's a line, there's a baby :)

pingu30 · 18/01/2018 07:23

My lines were reaaaaaally faint and now I'm sat with a 6m old!

Seeinglines · 18/01/2018 07:25

pingu thanks for replying.
I just feel the line should be getting darker or at least the same. I’m so worried I’m going to lose it Sad
Think I probably need to stop testing for a few days

I also wouldn't take "symptoms" as gospel either as I had NOTHING other than sore boobs which went away after a few weeks.

How far on do you think you are?
I tested when I suspected at 4 weeks and got a negative, tested a week letter and had (faint) positives.

I'd contact GP regardless and explain, they'll be able to test too!

Good luck!

Seeinglines · 18/01/2018 07:29

I was due AF on Monday so I’m not even five weeks yet. I think I need to just stop worrying. I didn’t think I’d be like this.

I honestly know how you feel. I didn't have a scan until I was 13w so I was keep taking tests until then like a mad woman 🙈.

You're far more likely to get a false negative than you are a false positive, think of it that way!

Plus you say you're scared you're "losing it". It would never show negative THAT quickly if anything happened... so I'd say, CONGRATS!!!

makingmiracles · 18/01/2018 07:37

Hard to say, I had one back in December, lines were clear but weren’t getting any darker, then bled and lines only disappeared after bleeding for 3days. I was about the same stage as you are now, but there’s no way of knowing, the lines will either get darker-leave 48hrs before testing again to give hcg a chance to rise, or the dreaded af will show in the next week. Fingers crossed your line gets darker, good luck.

Paranormalbouquet · 18/01/2018 08:16

With DD this happened- positive test Thursday, cramps+spotting and negative test Saturday. When period didn’t show I took another test a few days later and it was a strong line- she’s now almost 4.

In September something similar happened and I did go on to have an early loss.

As others have said it’s impossible to tell either way at this point- unfortunately you just have to wait and see. It’s a stressful time (currently almost 8 weeks again and still super stressed!).

Love2cook · 18/01/2018 08:19

Could you get a CB digital one that tells you how many weeks? Perhaps book a doctors appointment for a weeks time just to give yourself some reassurance.

Desmondo2016 · 18/01/2018 09:08

Basically be prepared to stress, catastrophise and be anxious from now until your 12 week scan and then for approximately another 18 years after that. It gets us all. I hope things work out well for you. I don't have any experience other than to believe in the fact that a line is a line and in the absence of bleeding things look ok at this stage x

Seeinglines · 18/01/2018 09:11

Thank you everyone. I feel more relaxed now. I’m going to try and not test again until Sunday morning. That’s the plan anyway Grin
What a stressful time eh. I just want to be able to relax and be a little bit excited. Fingers crossed Sunday brings a strong line Smile

Seeing sorry you are going through this.. No way to know unfortunately. When I had my chemical I was testing 1-2 on clear blue a few days later it was the same and then it was not pregnant. But those blue lime tests are rubbish.
Maybe try a first response if your period was due Monday you will have a nice strong line by now on one of them.

Its only the start of the worry either way. I was 9 months of knicker watching. For no reason at all. And then when they are born the worry doesn't stop it just changes to something else to worry about

Seeinglines · 18/01/2018 09:51

Haha at knicker watching. That’s what I’ve been saying all week!

@pingu30 you could not be more wrong if you tried. Hmm

Why justvent?

pingu30 · 18/01/2018 11:05

Why am I so wrong? So my experience is a lie is it?

mamabear05 · 18/01/2018 11:11

Hunni so sorry you are going through this. I had an early loss (6 weeks) in December so although it was fine back then I know if/when we are lucky enough to get another bfp that I'm going to be super anxious like you! Would your local EPU not do any blood tests? As long as your hcg is doubling approx every 48hours that's a good indication of a viable pregnancy. If not then I would definitely recommend a first response early test. Good luck, I hope it turns out well for you hun x

Desmondo2016 · 18/01/2018 11:38

@justvent I'm afraid you are in the wrong here. You seem to be very challenging on this board lately.. please remember it's not AIBU.

JustVent · 18/01/2018 13:37

There are plenty of false positives.

The Superdrug were nortious for them recently after ‘improving’ what was already a good quality test.

Blue dye tests are notorious for fake lines.

A line absolutely does not equal a baby.

It’s stuff like that that has people upset over their ‘chemical’ or ‘early miscarriage’ when what it really is is crap test and people posting “CONGRATULATIONS!” and the snifter of even a mark on a test.

People like that cause unnecessary heartache for others, and you tell me that Im in the wrong? Hmm

JustVent · 18/01/2018 13:38

And before people jump on it, I know chemical pregnancies and early miscarriages exist.

That’s the problem. It’s an insult to those who genuinely suffer these things.

pingu30 · 18/01/2018 13:45

Where did I say there were no false positives?

Instead of jumping on me why not pull everyone else who has commented bearing bad news without knowing either?

Poster asked for advice. I shared my experience and my opinion. That simple.

Enjoy your day.

DaisyMay25 · 18/01/2018 13:48

Hi @Seeinglines I would suggest using a FRER in a couple of days time, try not to stress until then (easier said than done I know) unfortunately if it is a CP there's nothing you can do about it. Hopefully this turns out to be good news for you though
Can I just ask when AF is due?

JustVent · 18/01/2018 13:49

And OP I’m not saying you’re not having a chemical or anything. I’m sayinf that comments like the above make these things 100 time harder. It’s cruel.
