Paper clip thingy was there today... here’s the pic. I also had a Tesco digi that I did and it said negative... however... the stick was in my pocket and I saw it the next day... clear as day, two thick lines. I know this is invalid but can anyone shed light on it? I last had a period on 3rd dec... no sign of anything... surely it would be showing up clearly by now on any test?

Is that a picture after the normal time, or after you found it later?

Advicewouldbelovelyta · 18/01/2018 13:53

And i ovulate very late in my cycle so if you're like me then you can't guarantee when it "should be showing up by now"

QueenAravisOfArchenland · 18/01/2018 13:57

Thing is now you've taken the test strip out of the casing it's invalid and nobody can answer. It might be the indent line or just where the dye has pooled without it being a positive line. On top of that since the stick wasn't flat and you were well outside 10 minutes I don't think you can make any judgements from this and need to do another test

Dippydodah · 18/01/2018 14:14

This is after the normal time... had held it flat

I can see a faint line, test again in a few days, first thing in the morning :)

ForEverlong · 18/01/2018 19:02

Taking a strip of out of the casing doesn’t “invalidate it”. (Although you can’t read digital strips manually but that’s another point). It looks like a pink line to me aka positive. I’d expect a frer to show a positive before any supermarket branded test anyway, they’re way more sensitive according to their published sensitivity.
I’ve had multiple frer strips out of their casing the last couple of days and none have shown a pink line like this. I reckon it’s positive

WallisFrizz · 18/01/2018 19:06

I think it looks like a ghost (?) line as it looks colourless to me. Test again with a digital or give it another day or so.

Dippydodah · 18/01/2018 22:35

Thanks everyone. Will update ye. Took another digital today and it said not pregnant. The Tesco one has a cartridge but that comes out... am I correct in thinking that the second line means nothing? How do they work?

CB digital aren’t sensitive enough to show a positive yet, so don’t worry that it’s negative.

Test again with a first response.

Dippydodah · 20/01/2018 10:04

Just an update. I think the photo above was indeed positive, as I had another v faint line positive on another test afterwards. I did an FRER this morning and it is definitely negative. No lines as above. I think I had a chemical pregnancy... no way of knowing but on reflection, it explains how I had been feeling (and knicker show etc.) anyway just thought I would update for other people googling like mad!
