Huge BBT drop

Im 5 dpo today and take my bbt every morning. This is my first month temping and using opk's but been ttc since a MMC last June. (Today is my due date).
Anyway, my temp has been high since ovulation 5 days ago but today it took a huge drop, a drop of 1.12 degrees. It looks so sharp on the chart! Why would this be? I didn't do anything different this morning. The only thing slightly different was that when I got up after taking It, I had a real dose of diahorrea (sorry tmi) but i don't think that would have caused such a big temp drop. Any ideas?

Oh and had a tiny tiny bit of EWCM last night when wiping. Wasn't anything else as we haven't dtd since Friday.

I don't want to give you false hope however it could be implantation dip...if so it should rise again if not it might not be implantation. Keep testing and fx for this month for you xx

Thanks owl. I'm trying not to think about implantation because I don't want to get my hopes up but Yes, that had occurred to me too. I suppose if it rises tmrw morning it could be a good sign!

Just to help you moderate your expectations I had a lovely temp rise after ovulation, then a large one day dip at 9dpo with nice high temps again immediately afterwards and lots of positive signs. Af arrived bang on time today... I don't write this to be mean, just that I really got my hopes up this cycle and it turns out the 'implantation dip' clearly wasn't implantation. I really hope yours is but its not a very reliable sign x

I had a huge drop today of just over 1 degree. I'm 3dpo so I think mine might be a fallback rise. Fingers crossed it goes up tomorrow for both of us! I think dips are quite common x

So my BBT has now shot up again to higher than the last peak I had.

Celebelly how did you go today with your temp??

Mine also shot back up to slightly higher than it was at OV peak!

Celebelly....does this mean anything? I've no clue. I really hope it's good news for both of us. How many dpo are you and when will.you test?

I also have no clue, haha. Mine is too early (I was 3dpo when it dropped and 4dpo today) to be implantation so I think mine is either a fallback rise or just an aberration. Will see if temp stays elevated!

Celebelly sharp dip yesterday but had bad sleep and was awake at 2.30 and tested at 5 as normal. I think I'm disregarding the huge dip. This Morning however it is the highest it has been.

Looks good I think! Mine seems to have stabilised but also having sleeping issues so we shall see!

Starting to drop so guess I'm out. Plus a negative test at 9dpo and 10dpo.
