Conceiving after chemical pregnancy

Hello, having recently suffered a chemical pregnancy, I am quite confused as to when I might be able to get pregnant again.

My last period was on 24 Oct 17, I took two positive pregnancy tests on 27 Nov, another (albeit faint) positive on 11 Dec and then on 15 Dec I started a period type bleed for 5 days (no clotting, pain etc).

On 21 Dec I had a pregnancy test and scan at local maternity hospital. Test was negative and no sign of recent pregnancy on ultrasound. They said I had probably had a chemical pregnancy.

Most of what I have read suggests that in chemical pregnancy, people have a period 4 to 6 days late. If 15 Dec really was a period, then it was 24 days late.

Should I take 15 Dec as my last period (31 days ago now)? I am too scared to take a pregnancy test as I don’t want to get my hopes up like last November 😕.
