problem with recording mucus

to all who chart.
sorry ive just posted the untitled thread. ive a coil.thinking of having a baby soon but not right now.
ive started recording my mucus 4 months ago,still searching for bbthermometer. the problem is i dont recognise sticky ,creamy or eggwhite mucus.it`s always sticky,clear,eggwhite from period to period.
is it because of the coil or am i mucus-ignorant?

Don't worry I am mucus ignorant too and don't think I can follow just that as an indication of ovulation as it all gets a bit confusing. Do you not notice that its different before and after ovulation though?

I haven't had a coil, so not sure if that would make a difference to your CM or not - someone else may know.
