Ovarian drilling

We’ve been ttc for 16 months and have had 1 m/c. After that pcos really flared up and I barely ovulated. I had a laparoscopy last week (my third one, have had two for endo in the past ten years) and the consultant talked to me about ovarian drilling before I went in and she did the procedure. Am pretty sore now but been reading up on it and it sounds quite promising in the reduction of testosterone production l. Has anyone else experienced this? She has given us three months before we meet her again and try drugs, and I’m praying we do it naturally before then. Would love to hear if anybody else has gone through this?

Hi Millypad, I had ovarian drilling done 4 years ago now, I previously hadn't had a natural period in 2 years due to PCOS. The op worked well for me, as I gave birth to my DS 10 months later! I'm now on Clomid trying for DC2, unfortunately they won't consider drilling again as it's quite damaging to the ovaries which is a shame but I definitely would have done it again!

Best of luck!!

That’s brilliant, thank you so much for posting! Here’s hoping... best of luck with number 2 - pcos is such a bugger. Had never heard of the drilling before, so am really curious to see what happens. So far it’s just made my boobs hurt like crazy for some reason, guess it’s all just hormones flying about!
