TTC after miscarriage and treatment for precancerous cells

Hi. I’m brand new to this forum so sorry if it takes a while for me to understand some of the terms!

Me and my partner have decided we want a baby. He is 30 and has a 6 year old daughter already from a previous relationship, and I am 27. This will be my first.

I had a miscarriage some years ago and have since had numerous treatments for precancerous cells. Thankfully I lived in Scotland where they start smears earlier so this was caught at 21! My cervix is now quite short and I’m full of worry about miscarriage. Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so how was your pregnancy? I understand we aren’t medical professionals here but I’d love some advice and stories from normal women!

Also, I have no idea where to start, what vitamins to take (I’ve been taking folic acid for 3 months), whether I need to go to the doctor for advice before we start ttc. I think I just need some general advice as I am one scared young lady! I’m so excited but also feel very out of my depth and anxious which I know isn’t good for ttc.

Any general advice would be amazing. Sorry my post is a little vague.

Thank you in advance Smile
