Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me with a very quick question as I'm a bit baffled by it.

So, I have a bit of an irregular cycle due to PCOS, ranging anything from 27 to 32 days. DH and I have literally started TTC DC2 so I've been using the Clearblue Ovulation Test to help find when I am most fertile. My period lasted seven days and on CD8 I took a test (Low Fertility), again on CD9 (Low Fertility) and CD10 (High Fertility). We DTD (this was yesterday) but then this morning (CD11) I'm back to Low Fertility. So I never had Peak Fertility. I'll do another test tomorrow but I'm keen to know if anyone has any thoughts. I would really appreciate it. Does it mean I just haven't ovulated this month?

Thanks so much!

I'm pretty sure these tests say they are not suitable for those with PCOS, in the instructions. I quite often use them and think I can remember seeing it somewhere.

Thanks so much for your response, Ssh. Yes, I've seen that too but thought I would give it a try anyway. I've done a couple of cycles using them in the past and have had low to high to peak fertility readings in a cycle on those occasions. I just wondered why it was different this time. I have 'normal' periods every month so perhaps I have a mild version of PCOS? We'll see what happens anyway!

It could be that you ovulated quickly after your high. Sometimes it takes a month or two for the reader to get to know your body so maybe try it again next month to see if it’s any better. I had a similarish problem as I had 15 days high fertility but also no peak the first month. The month after I bought the cheaper test sticks and then used the clear blue only when the lines got darker on the cheap sticks and I got my peak almost right away. Make sure you look at the lines on the sticks as well as reading the smiley faces as you can see over a few days how the lines will go as dark as the control line and this means you will ovulate, then when it gets lighter again it has happened.
