Anyone used Maca?

Has anyone used Maca to help their fertility? I have PCOS (but my periods are regular, I just often don't ovulate and have all the other rubbish symptoms) and it has been recommended to me by my acupuncturist.

I've been given some smoothie recipes and they all have Maca in them. I don't want to take anything that might mess with my cycles so would love to hear other peoples experiences.

Yes I started taking it after coming off the pill and my periods hadn’t returned.
About 10 days after taking it I had my first bleed. I must admit I didn’t continue much longer as it’s absolutely vile tasting. My friend takes it consistently for irregular periods and swears it has regulated her cycle.
I would say maybe take it in capsule form instead of powder as whatever I tried I couldn’t disguise the taste. Good luck 😊

I took it. Pco and longish, slightly irregular cycles. I didn't notice a difference...

Check out soy isoflavins. They're nature's clomid...

Thanks, are soy isoflavins different to other types of soy? Just that I heard soy is bad for women with pcos - to do with estrogen I think?

I used Maca when I was TTC my first. I used it as it was recommended for energy then read up on it and found that it's an apparent fertility booster. I can't say it was solely down to that but I conceived first try. I was also a lot fitter then and exercising regularly. Now going into our 3rd month TTC our 2nd and no joy yet.
Agree it is absolutely horrid tasting! I used to have the powder form in a smoothie.
