Hi I’m new to this but I could do with some solid advice 😊

I came off the pill on Tuesday 17th October 2017 and I’m now into my second natural cycle but I’m currently on day 46 of the cycle and 3 negative tests this morning from peeing into a cup and dipping the tests. I also have managed to get a yeast infection this week which I don’t think I’ve ever had. About 2 weeks ago today I had brown blood come out with my discharge over about 2 days which was strange. I’ve had a cold also this week which I know doesn’t help things. But I have also felt sick without the need to be sick. Basically I’m desperate to get pregnant.

Any advice would be very much appreciated thank you!

Possibly an anovulatory cycle and the two days of old blood was your period.

I get it. After 22 months hardcore ttc I'm desperate to be pregnant too. You need to give your body more time to adjust post pill.

I know you stopped the pill when you were ready to be pregnant but it's very very normal for it to take a year to get regular cycles after the pill and also for it to take a year to get pregnant...

thank you for replying. I keep trying to be positive that these things take time. Just frustrating as i like to have control over things which is why I loved being on the pill... it was all like clockwork haha! You might be right. the brown blood was sparse and was mixed in with my usual discharge though. Really feel for you and hope your trying ends at 22 months of it !!!! xxx

Unfortunately you’ve just got to wait and let your body get back into its natural cycle length. It is a really frustrating wait! I have read lots of people after coming off the pill have some long cycles before they settle down to shorter cycles. Although if you’ve only tested today you could still poss be pregnant. You could try again in a day or so and not first thing in the morning! Also try a different brand of pregnancy test just in case?
