I need some advise or just someone to say I'm normal!! Iv tracked my last 3 periods and my avg cycle is about 30 days, period lasting 3 days but Dec was 5 days. Iv been off the pill for 9 months and started ttc only last month. After reading all this stuff about ovulating etc I decided to take ovulating tests, I'm on day 14 and the last 2 days Iv had negative tests. I'm guna carry on testing but the thing that's bugging me is I get the EWCM on day 8 petty much each cycle. Is this normal?! And this means I ovulate early? Obv next month I'm just guna test every day but just wondering if I can conceive and if anyone can relate? Or give advise?

You may ovulate early and not catch it on the tests!

Is that normal, it seems really soon after my period, it's hardly gives me chance to feel "clean" again before we start trying again

My periods I finally figured out last 25 days so I was ovulating earlier than I thought I should be (assumed 28 days!). I used a free app (iFertile) to track it and figure out my cycle, then used ovulation tests to narrow it down further to get my BFP.

*my cycle that was meant to say, 25 day periods would be a bit soul destroying Confused!!

Bearlove · 05/01/2018 21:37

They certainly would!!! 😱. Guess I'm just guna have to track it all. Just getting slightly obsessed with all this stuff, I have two apps on the go 😬😩

Tracking it does help, but try not to stress too much about it all, all you can do is try (and it should be fun trying!).

I found temping really useful. I ovulate about CD19 which is quite late. One time it was cd23. It wouldn't help you to know when ovulation is about to happen but it would at least help you see when it happened for next time.

I'd get the cheap internet sticks for next month and start testing earlier.

Yes Iv read about ovulating early and late and that sometimes it can cause issues etc. Iv brought some from the internet and I'll be testing from the day after my period, tho we are doing the BD pretty much every other day anyway. But think it will be a Miracle if I'm pregnant this month!!

I don’t track anything, never have.
Just have sex a few times around days 10-16 and relax!
Unless of course you’re having problems conceiving which is different. It’s far too easy to get obsessed when in reality most people who have sex at the right time for a few months will conceive.
I’ve been pregnant 10 times so I’m pretty fertile (just not good at getting them to stick sadly).

ineedamoreadultieradult · 06/01/2018 14:35

Do you need to be doing all this tracking? You've only been TTC a month. Can you not just have lots of sex and see what happens? Sorry if for some reason you do need to be tracking etc but it seems like you are making this process more scientific/complicated than it needs to be at the moment.

Bearlove · 06/01/2018 16:32

Your right, I'm just one of these people that's super organised that's all and Iv not really looked into the process before. I'll just relax and let nature take it's cause I think, that's when it happens with most ppl isn't it. Like you said it should be enjoyable!
