Pre-seed - anyone tried it?

AF has reared her ugly head today so im thinking of getting some pre-seed to try for next month, has anyone tried it?

Yes!

I had difficulties conceiving both my dd’s. We used preseed after 20 months of trying and fell pregnant 5 months later,

Second time round it took 10 months to conceive ( sadly miscarried ) then conceived again 5 months later (chemical pregnancy) and again 3 months later (dd2).

I firmly believe preseed helped reduce the time it took to conceive!

Good luck.

Yes, did. And we did conceive. Good luck! Though most useful gadget I found was an ovulation microscope, the ones that you spit on in the morning and watch a fern pattern appear if you are ovulating. Worked both times.

Yes. We were only ttc for three months but used pre seed in our lucky third month!

Stickystickstick · 04/01/2018 17:56

Yes - ttc for years, first month using preseed and the cb advanced fertility monitor I fell pregnant and baby is now sleeping happily while I have a cuppa - I’m also old so lots going against me at the time.

Hi @Kayleigh1986 not sure if you're in the uk or not but boots currently have this in 3 for 2 offer

Think I might give it a try if no bfp this month

Pre-seed - anyone tried it?

We used conceive plus lube (I don't know if that's the same thing?)

NimbleKnitter · 04/01/2018 18:14

I tried it. It was ok - basically, if you need lube, use this instead of standard stuff.

If you think your cervical fluid is a bit lacking, try some omega 3 fish oil. You ain't seen fertile cervical fluid like it

RubyBoots7 · 04/01/2018 18:16

Yes. For months. Didn't make a blind bit of difference. IVF is what helped us.

If you get pregnant, you'll never truly know if it was preseed or a coincidence. But it's not massively pricey so if you want to try it, I'd say def give it a shot :)

Cakelaur · 04/01/2018 19:56

I was trying for nearly a year and used the fertile check gel. Twice in one month on peak days and BANG... pregnant that month. I am convinced this was what did it. I did tell my other half that I was using it as I didn’t wanna spoil the mood. But I had a hard time deciphering cm. good luck, xx

mamaiFifi · 04/01/2018 20:11

Excuse my stupidity or ignorance lol what is preseed?

NimbleKnitter · 04/01/2018 20:12

Conception friendly lube

leaveituntiltomorrow · 04/01/2018 20:18

Nimble I feel that my cervical fluid is lacking as I’ve got older. What dose omega 3 did you use?

surreygirl1987 · 04/01/2018 20:32

I've been using it! Been trying since the summer and no bfp yet though...!

TeaAndToast85 · 04/01/2018 20:41

I can vouch for the stuff that @DaisyMay25 recommended from Boots. That what we used, I'm 24 weeks now xx

NimbleKnitter · 04/01/2018 20:49

I took two fish oil capsules a day - no idea of the size - bottle just says EPA 330mg, DHA 230mg (so maybe 560mg? Is that how it works?)

Evening primrose oil did the same thing, but you have to stop that after ovulation

leaveituntiltomorrow · 04/01/2018 21:24

Thanks Nimble

mamaiFifi · 04/01/2018 21:37

Thanks @NimbleKnitter
Does it actually help you conceive?

60sname · 04/01/2018 21:39

Well we used it and conceived first time, both times...make of that what you will!

NimbleKnitter · 04/01/2018 21:43

Depends who you ask.

I can see how it could help, if you are lacking in cervical fluid, but to be honest, I'd go with the omega 3.

That way the fluid is actually around your cervix, and is there for days and days.

I'd say just use it if you need lube

ChildlessMom · 04/04/2021 22:24

Old thread as I've just joined Mumsnet.... just bought Preseed to see if it works any magic.... always trying things but never tried this, so abit skeptical about if it works especially with my older age and several years of trying without any luck/God willing. 🙏
