This might be completely mad but please bare with me.

I posted back at the beginning of October in symptom spotting with some quite normal early preg symptoms but then I bled a week later (around 10/10) so I figured I had missed out that month. During that period I started having a sore back on the right side and 5 days later was in a and e with a uti where they took a pregnancy test (22/10) before prescribing antibiotics. After the uti this back pain stuck around so I returned to the docs where he felt my abdomen and took routine blood tests for inflammation which all returned normal. When asked if I could be pregnant I said no as the hospital had tested.

The back pain continued and I returned to the doctors where she checked me over once again and I was sent to physio, which has made some improvement. It's not really painful just uncomfortable and the pain moves around from my back to my bum and my side, other times it's not there at all.

I had another short period around 9th Nov but it was way shorter and lighter than normal. And another light bleed on 3rd Dec.

On the 23rd I had some spotting around where my period should be on its way but I literally had a spot and then a small amount of brown, mild cramps and no need for pads or tampons. So i returned to the doctors once again where she looked at my cervix and said I have a small cervical ectropian and that my period would probably come in next few days as the spotting would be due to that.

My period never came tho, and I'm having mild cramps and lots of heartburn along with my back ache. I took a home pregnancy test but it was negative.

Is it possible that I could be pregnant after all? I have heard that sometimes if you still bleed, your urine doesn't have enough hcg in it to detect a pregnancy. Or have my hormones just gone completely haywire (I have health anxiety so I've been very stressed about my back pain).

Sorry for the long post xx

So you think you might be 3 months pregnant?? No, I don't think there is any likelihood you are pregnant. Lots of negative tests. If your HCG wasn't high enough at this stage there'd be no pregnancy anyway. I really am not sure why you think the back pain might be a pregnancy, that's not a usual symptom even. Or is it the short periods? Again not a symptom of pregnancy.

I've also heard that some women simply don't get positive tests til late on.

I am actually quite worried about this as I've been drinking over Xmas

@sillysausage16 when did you last take a pregnant test?

sillysausage16 · 04/01/2018 01:00

Not last night but night before. I'm not sure how old the test was tho as I found it in back of cupboard, was just a strip test off eBay. I didn't check the date on it

Being gentle here but I can't imagine that tests, old or not, would still be negative at this stage.

I'm not desperate to be pregnant I know at my age hormones change I just wondered if it was possible
