Hi ladies,

wondered if anyone could help, we have a nearly 5 year old ds, 8 month old dd and ttc for another since she was born - had m/c on 24th of last month and still waiting for AF this month - had sore boobs for the last 3 weeks and tested twice with BFN, wondered what was going on - anyone know when I am to expect AF to return after a m/c? Thanks

first, im so sorry for your loss.

unfortunately it can take your body a while to settle down post mc, and some of the symptoms can hang around for a bit. how many weeks were you?

Sorry for your loss
I had a d & c on the 15th March after a m/c and af arrived on Monday which was just over 5 weeks after
I was starting to wonder what was going on but am relieved now!

well i am taking 24th as a period but not really sure if i am meant to, i usually have a 28 day cycle so if that is the casey, seem to be late - I am just quite confused as to what is going on really - my boobs have been sore for about 3 weeks but nothing is happening and tests are negative, I just want AF to come so I can move on and try again.... thanks for your messages.

guess maybe i am being a bit presumptious, will give it a bit longer - just expected to be back to my normal cycle straight away, having never had a m/c before - sorry to hear of your loss to. Are you ttc again?

after my 2nd mc af was 5d late (my cycle is 28d) the next one was 3d early, im sorry you are going thru this, its truly shit!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 24/04/2007 21:19

I thought that too! Was going to give it another week.
It was my 1st mc and have decided not to try again as it hit me quite hard. I'm concentrating on losing weight and moving house and then may think about it
I already have a ds & dd so think myself lucky I have the 2 of them

Sorry for your loss. It is such a tough time and even tougher as you wait for your body to recover. It normally take 4-6 weeks for AF, but don't can't the miscarriage/ ERPC/ D&C as your AF. It actually took me 5 months for AF to arrive, but I was 13 weeks and I think there were other complications. Most people I know had AF within 2 months. But it can take longer, depending on how far along you were.

Take care of yourself.

Hi,

Sorry for your loss. I also had a m/c on 17th Feb at 12 weeks. My DH and I were completely devastated as it was our 1st baby. It was a natural m/c, no D&C needed. I bled for 1 week and AF finally arrived 7 weeks after day of m/c. It was an agonising wait and a true test of patience. I am on my 1st cycle now and we are planning to try again. Good luck to you.
