78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

Been off the patch since September, had one period about 52 days later and then nothing since 😫 I’ve had on and off cramps for the best part of a month but they’re so random, some days it’s just a twinge and others it’ll be really achey all day!

That’s the way I was also! From I stopped Cerazette I had every symptom going, and had loads of cramps, I was on day 46 yesterday when it finally arrived and had nothing at all before that. But the cramps must mean something is going on in your body and preparing for AF! I just find it unbelievable that the majority of women are all in the same situation after stopping contraception 😡

Ah I'm almost exactly the same as you pickett - stopped the pill in September, had a 43 day cycle & then nothing since. Cramps on & off the whole way through but I barely take notice of them anymore because nothing ever happens!

Although I do agree cramps are a good thing as that means something is going on in there.

In other news, there's a spider on my bathroom ceiling that is ruining my life/evening.

@tinyradish it’s infuriating isn’t it! I’m exactly the same though, I don’t take notice anymore as it’s just part of the day 😂 I’m hoping to have some answers after my bloods and scan though so maybe things will get moving!

In regards to the spider, I’m afraid your only option is to burn your house down, sorry 💔

Hey ladies, I just wanted to tell my story in case it helps any of you. I came off the pill (mycrogynon) and had really irregular periods for 2 years, up to 6 months without a period. Doctors weren't very interested or helpful so I paid for acupuncture. I had a period after 2 sessions and they were pretty regular from there. My 18 month old son is asleep upstairs right now. I didn't even believe acupuncture would help but I was desperate, now I'd definitely recommend it. It's not a cheap solution and I didn't conceive straight away but I honestly don't believe I'd be a mum without acupuncture. Good luck xx

No loz you’re supposed to try and pinpoint actual ov using opks, mucus checking or temping. If you haven’t you’ll have to guess a bit.

Oh I see. I’d guess ovulation was Tuesday as that’s when I got my darkest line on opks. I have ovia. Just wait and see I guess xx

So if I'm right in thinking that I ovulated the day after my positive opk on cd20 then with a 2 week luteal phase i should be due AF tomorrow. I've been dry as a bone and no symptoms to speak of so I'm not getting my hopes up of a bfp!

Who knows. If I come on tomorrow that would be a 35 day cycle. If I dont...well.. I'm back in limbo again Confused

@SpadesOfGlory do you plan on testing tomorrow or are you going to wait and see if AF makes an appearance?

I'm still spotting today now 8dpo. No red blood though as you would get with AF and I've just been using a panty liner (sorry tmi). I'm really hoping this is implantation bleeding. I've had mild cramps too. My temp had dropped this morning though so who knows what is going on xoxo

Your bleeding sounds positive though! I've not had any spotting at all. Hopefully it's implantation! I've read most women with implantation bleeding usually get a positive test a couple of days later, might be worth a try?

Ladies my AF has only lasted 3 days, do you think this is still ok to class as my first “real” AF since stopping the pill?

Yes my first was short too. This second one is only 4 days. But was bang on 27 days with a opk peak in the middle so it’s definite first cycle.

Thanks @Karigan1 Now the what to see if I will ovulate and how long to my next cycle or Bfp!

I was 99% sure it was AF as had the cramps, bloating and bright red blood(tmi) and was heavish yesterday, but that’s it really light from this afternoon and almost gone!

Update: AF arrived Sad

On the plus side it means I ovulated when I thought I did 2 weeks ago and I've had a 35 day cycle...but it still doesn't help the crushing feeling of failure. We DTD bang on (no pun intended) when I was ovulating, what more can we do?! Sigh.

Even doing the deed bang on time it’s only a 25% chance. No need to feel like a failure. It could take a few months or so. Maybe that particular egg wasn’t mature enough or something.
