Am I pregnant?

This is my first time posting and I've never been pregnant before, so I really need some advice.

I did a pregnancy test a couple of days ago and in the time frame given it came back BFN so I binned it but as I was emptying the bin hours later and I checked again and there was a faint blue positive line. Even my boyfriend could see it.

I read the packet and it said ignore results after 10 minutes. So I did. I am now 6 days late, my boobs are killing me, I'm getting cramps and back ache, I'm tired and it sounds odd but when I touch my lower abdomen it feel swollen.

Am I pregnant? Or should I ring a doctor for their advice?

You need to do another test.

Do another test first thing in the morning if you can (your urine is more concentrated so you should get a more definitive result).

There's no point ringing your GP, all they would do is a pregnancy test just the same as you can buy over the counter.

False positives are super rare, however false negatives are pretty common, especially if you've tested earlier than you should have. If your period is late then test the next day with first morning urine, then test every 2 days until you get a positive or period.

If you’re 6 days late now, it should show up on a test. Try again and keep us posted :) good luck xx
