First Response... False positive / evap? Sh*tting myself

Long story short... I'm nearly 8weeks pp. Was cut during birth due to bubs getting stuck so had stitches and now a scar. Pain free from 4 weeks, bleeding stopped around then too. Stupidly started sex without a condom around 6 weeks pp... We ended it with a condom on (genuinely forgot after not having to use one in over a year) I took the morning after pill (Evie or something?) around 48 hours after. My scar area started getting achy a week or so ago. Much worse tonight, read online it can happen at the start of a pregnancy or when AF is due.

Done a test tonight and the faintest of lines came up (test line a strong pink, result line faint) and it came up around the 3 minute mark. It's so faint it's hard to tell the colour. In a clear light it's slightly pink but barely so could be colour offsetting from the test line.

I've read online that first response (6 days early test) rarely give false positives or evap lines?

I've no idea if or when I ovulated as I don't have my periods back.

Can someone hold my hand, I know I've been a idiot. (I've tried to take a pic but it's blurry) Does anyone have experience with testing after birth, after the morning after pill?

Hi nature! I remember you from the beginning of my ttc journey - I'm still waiting for my 'moment' but great to hear you've given birth. Do you mind me asking what did you have?? Congrats! X

You need to take another test. If the line is definitely pink on a FRER, it is a positive.

Hi Shh!! How are you?

I had a little girl, she arrived two weeks early after an induction due to reduced movement but she's amazing.

I'll get another test tonight to use tomorrow morning. Line looks pinker today ... Scary.

Is that good news? If so congrats!
If not, there are options. Don't fret Flowers
Congrats on your little one, my DS was also early due to reduced movements.

I'm ok thanks Nature. I don't want to bring the thread down but I'm struggling with having not conceived yet. It's tricky but glad to see that an original has got a beautiful baby!! Let us know how tomorrow's test goes. Xx

Op how would you feel if you were pregnant again ? I know it might seem daunting but could be a blessing

OnNaturesCourse · 03/01/2018 11:47

In all honesty it would be a nightmare, I'm having trouble where I've been stitched and my pelvic floor still hasn't recovered. We've just got a house and all our money is in that so financially it would cripple us. It kills me but we'd definitely need to look at "options" - I'm so scared of this that I've still not tested again.

Keep reading that any line on a FR is positive, they rarely have evap lines.

Nature please do not apologise. It's wonderfully honest you considering options. Be brave and take another test. This way you'll know and options to consider early on. Here with you, when you take that test. Sending love.

Well DP is just back from the shops annndd... He forgot the bloody test. 😟 Seems he's not as concerned as I am! ("What are the chances" he says!)

OnNaturesCourse · 03/01/2018 22:52

I chickened out again. I will definitely get there tomorrow and purchase one. Unfortunately my local shop is staffed by friends so I didn't want to go there tonight (see.. Wimp!)

Bless you. All in good time. It's your body cx

OnNaturesCourse · 06/01/2018 21:38

DP and I have agreed to test when he's home next weekend if AF hasn't shown. I'll be 9 weeks pp by then so my body should be "flowing" again soon if I'm not PG
