Feel like an awful friend

So how do you deal with one of your closest friends being pregnant and the other one with a 3 month old baby? The close friend just announced it to me this morning. She's about 6 weeks.
It's an overwhelming feeling of jealousy and I hate it. I want to be happy for these people but it's so difficult!
I also held the 3 month old yesterday. Which was very hard. Seeing him again tonight too Sad

Me and my DP have been trying to conceive for 6 months 😔 We've put it on hold for a month or two while we look into getting a mortgage and buying a house.
But I still feel like there must be an issue with one of our bodies (or both).

What makes it worse is that both friends conceived within the first month of trying! She said she only downloaded the pregnancy app to track her periods about 4 weeks ago!
If only it was so easy! Sad

ps a friend told me she's pregnant yesterday (totally knew already though)... it hurt but am trying hard to be happy for her :)

It's frustrating isn't it. My friend wants to go to Ghana over Easter but I've had to say no just in case!
I also want to apply for a new job this year but am worried about starting somewhere new and becoming pregnant. But I can't put my life on hold.

surreygirl1987 · 01/01/2018 20:13

@Biscay totally! Really difficult. On one hand it's silly to put our lives on hold indefinitely... but on the other hand it would be madness to pay out loads of money for a trip that we might not be able to do! ☹

My current cocktail of vitamins:

  • Seven seas trying for a baby with folic acid, iron and vitamin D
  • Fish oil
  • Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg (until day 14 or ovulation)
  • Agnus Castus (until ovulation)
  • Vitamin C with bioflavonoids
  • Selenium

My partner is taking:

  • Zinc
  • Vitamin C
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin D
  • Cod Liver Oil

Any other recommendations for us?

@cupcake it sounds like you've got it covered! I'm using pregnacare and EPO (until ov) and dh is using Wellman and extra CoQ10. I've also started using castor oil packs every other day up until ovulation... don't know if it makes a difference or not!

surreygirl1987 · 03/01/2018 11:23

Haha I obviously meant @spongecake not @cupcake! New year's diet clearly has cake on my brain... 😂

Colleague announced a pregnancy today. She has a 7 month old! genuinely happy for her but it's affected me quite a lot. Feel pretty down. Seems like everyone around me is able to have a baby whenever they feel like it!

Merrz · 03/01/2018 18:31

SpongeCake I'm very similar. My brother and his gf are having a baby. Accidental bfp after only being together a few months. After the initial shock all my family are delighted and my mum especially can't wait to have a grandchild but I can't get myself past being bitterly jealous and angry about it to the point I'm struggling to be around them because I'm worried how I'll react when they speak about the baby.
This is me on to cycle 7 now of properly trying, I'm 29 and dh 39. Fx 2018 is the year it happens for us both. What makes you think you have endometriosis?

ferriswheel · 03/01/2018 18:42

Have you tried preseed?

SpongeCake23 · 03/01/2018 20:04

@Merrz Sorry to hear you're feeling like that.
I feel I have endo because of the symptoms I have before and during my AF...stabbing, pulling and cramping pains. I get bowel issues on my period too - very painful indeed. Heavy periods and clots too.
