What's the difference between spotting and a light period?

So I mc in Oct at 6 weeks.

Around 3.5 weeks ago I started to feel the same pregnancy symptoms. I didn’t get a positive test (could test from 18th)
I started bleeding on Christmas Eve. Last time I didn’t get a positive until 6 days later mc’d the day after that.
My nipples have been on fire for weeks and now my breasts are very sore, I’m spotting.
This has been the lightest bleeding I have every experienced.
I tested on Boxing Day and it was negative. I made a gp appointment for next Friday as it was the soonest I could get.

Not sure whether to test again tomorrow or should I wait a few days and see if I still have symptoms?

I'm almost 90% sure I've had an implantation bleed on boxing day. Very light brownish discharge. Then nothing.. my partner wants me to wait to test. Let me know how you get on?

I’m so glad I got a reply tonight. I have had a miscarriage before and thought when I I started bleeding it was a period but it was even lighter bleeding than my mc. I’m going to wait until Saturday to test again I think.
My cycles have been longer than normal after the mc so I’m not actually sure when I ovulated but bleeding was 43 days between rather than the normal 33/35. I mc 10days after my period was due. The day after I got the positive result. I’m now 20 days after it would usually be due but I really feel pregnant but I got a negative result on Boxing Day so want to wait at least until sat. It took 4/5 days for my symptoms to go after mc so it will be then but feel they are getting stronger!

I had mireana coil removed 13th Dec. No periods while I had it in nearly 5 years so I have no idea also. My nurse said it looked like I was ovulating at the removal. Didn't expect it to work straight off as I'm late 30's. Still no period and I don't feel 'normal lol. Hurry up new years day.
