Anyone see progress?

These are 3 tests I’ve done over the past week. Periods out of whack since coming off pill so no idea what’s happening. The top one is from today..... anyone who has used these... knows what they should look like please help!!!

Which one is the test line and which control line? I thouht that the first line (closest to dipping end) was normally the test - in which case this is positive. If it's the other way around you'll need to wait for the test line to be as dark as the control.

They are almost positive but not quite. Are you testing in the afternoon? They need to be as dark as the test line

Yes actually, just reading the instructions and the test line is the darkest one in my pic. But surely that’s not right, the colour hasn’t changed in a week. I suppose the rule still applies that they have to be the same colour?!

They are definatly positive ovulation tests.. Have you tried a pregnancy test? As ovulation tests can pick up pregnancy too.. x

Do you really think they are? Just find it weird I’ve had the same result for a week. Definitely not pregnant. Last time I had unprotected sex was Dec 19th and also 26th.

I second what Stee says.... I’ve used this opks a lot in the past and I’ve never had a result like that. It’s definitely positive as the test line is darker than the control line. If I were you I’d be trying a pregnancy test ASAP

I think you should definitely do pregnancy test as never seen the test line that much darker than control! See my pic of how it should look...

These to me are negative? They should both be dark,not lighter xx

When was your last period and last sex before the 19th? It looks like you could be further along. Sometimes you can have a "light" period during early pregnancy when you would have normally missed one.

BertieBotts, the last time we had sex was towards the end of Nov, my periods and body is completely out of whack since coming off the pill.

Brownbear84, yes I too wondered if negative as I thought both lines had to be of the same colour to be a positive test! I only just learnt tonight I had the test and control line wrong way round lol. Thank god for Mumsnet xx

End of Nov seems more likely to me - I reckon you might be pregnant from that cycle!

If the test line is darker than the control for OPK, that means that it's positive. It's just most people never get it that strong, which is why I'm thinking pregnancy rather than LH surge, and why people are also confusing the lines for each other. Strongest I've seen is the test line being very slightly darker than control, not properly overpowering it like that and stealing all the dye.

If you google image search "very strong OPK" you get loads of OPKs like yours next to positive pregnancy tests Grin

My opks look like that. I was pregnant little girl is 12 weeks old now. Never had one that strong when I was ovulating

Saw this earlier and was puzzling over a bit.... it just came to me that you must be pregnant and that is why the tests are so dark for so long. Anyway, I have been beaten to it but congrats! I would bet the farm you are pregnant x

Bless you all, thanks for the insights and advice. My heart of course would love me to be pregnant and believe I am!!
My head is saying my hormones are probably out of whack since coming off the pill, so that’s why I have a random result Confused . I would love a positive pregnancy result though, it’s a shame I have about 50 opks in my cupboard but not one pregnancy test lol xx

I’m at work today, also I’ve convinced myself Im not so don’t really feel motivated to buy one. I really wish I was though!!!

I know it sounds incredibly naive, but I just don’t believe I am. I’ve had no symptoms and looking at timescales, if I am pregnant now, I would have conceived around 6 weeks ago so surely I would “know”.
I’ve also had some on off spotting the last couple of weeks which I thought was post pill wackiness. xx

That's how I knew I was pg - a random positive opinion midcycle. I wouldn't have known till the bump showed up otherwise! Good luck xx
