Chemical Pregnancy

I got BFP 6 days in a row, 4 of these were before AF was due. Now AF has arrived 3 days late and test has only the feintest 2nd line.

This would be a chemical pregnancy I suppose? No point in seeing GP or anything? I had a miscarriage at 12+6 in October and despite many trips in and out of hospital they did nothing to help of course so I don't see any benefit in seeing anyone about it.

There goes my joy at getting a Christmas bfp Sad

don't test so early, you are only setting your self up for disappointment after disappointment - most "pregnancies" never become established.

sorry for your disappointment this time. Test later next time

sorry for what you are going through opFlowers , ttc is a rocky road. best of luck next cycle

Op said it was 3 days late. Abit of sensitivity wont go amiss.

Sorry this has happened Op. i personally wouldnt see anyone about it unless the bleeding is too heavy, pain is too much or you are showing signs of infection (fever, chills, bad smell etc), cos ime the docs wont be able to offer much. Chemical pregnancies are alot more common than i thought, dispite how upsetting they can be.

Have a nice warm bath and treat yourself, try to de-stress. Fx you get a sticky one soon Flowers

This happened to me two months in a row. Positive test 8dpo stayed positive for a few days then bleeding started and test went negative. It’s hard and it’s sad but I heard it’s very common and it’s why a lot of people think these very sensitive tests should be banned. I got pregnant again on the 3rd month and now 11 weeks pregnant

Hi op,
Please do see your gp to document this. As awful as it sounds you mention you've had a miscarriage earlier, you are entitled to testing after 3 so you should have it noted should you be unlucky again.

Also regardless of when you tested, how far along you were etc etc. The pain and grief is there and completely valid. You had hopes, dreams and aspirations for this pregnancy and baby and you should allow yourself the space and time to feel that and grieve.

Wishing you heaps of baby dust
