Ttc after mirena

Hi all,
I wondered if anybody has experience ttc after mirena removal? I had mirena removed in August after about 3.5 years. My periods stopped while I had mirena in but have now returned. The first was very heavy but since then they've been much lighter, about 2-3 days which makes me worry we'll struggle to conceive. Last month was our first month ttc. I've not been charting or anything as I worry I'd get a bit obsessed but I did notice I didn't seem to have any obvious ewcm last month. Would love to hear from anyone with experience (positive or negative) ttc after mirena. This is all very new to me as my first child was a happy accident and just have a gut feeling it's not going to be so easy ttc this time around.

Hi @MamaL86 I got a bfp 3 months after Mirena was removed, unfortunately it ended in mc but I didn't have any problem getting pg.

Thanks for your reply and I'm so sorry to hear about your MC :(. Have your periods returned to normal? I'm concerned that mine are still so light.

I've had two Mirenas and continued to have periods both times.

Following their removal I was pregnant within 5 weeks on both occasions.

The first time was a successful pregnancy but the second time ended up as a miscarriage.

Good luck Flowers

I had a Modena for about 2.5 years like you, it stopped my periods. I tried for 8 months to ttc, then gave up because it was causing issues in our relationship.

I had it put back in for 2 years, then removed again in September. No luck yet for me. Periods very heavy when it first come out but now lighter although still last 4-5 days.

I conceived within 6 months of having mine removed. My periods have always been irregular and that's how they were following removal. I was anxious it would affect me getting pg but I've now got an 8mo!
